Will uzbekistan ever be able to create convertable currency?

Now, for years we have being having problems with conversion. it has become a major obsticle for the investors to put any money into our economy. They feel risky than to any foriegn country cause they know, though they make some money in Uzbekistan, they wont be able to convert it to any convertible currency nor wont be able to take it out of the country. :?: now we have another compatative country "Afganistan" where most of the investors will be interested in to go, eventhough they have unstable government. But as long as their opportunities to earn they wont stop.

Yes, Uzbek government is half way through, and working very hard. It established buying process, and now working on the other part. I know it's very encouraging. So, tune in the channel 2, and be happy. :)

thanx for your comments, but we all know that what they show in TV is just propaganda and just to brainwash people!! in fact all the money given by US and other aids isn't reaching it's purpose, but going into officials wealth.

Man, after so many discussions, and talks, sometime wanna put a bullet in my head blow it off. But no, we have to deal with this. I guess it's our life time challenge. Everyone wants good, but noon can do it anything. It's kinda Nobel prize challenge. Think, think, and maybe , maybe it's possible. I am optimistic about our future. I don't want to live abroad like a rat that fled a sinking boat, but I have to for now at least, and this is sad.

i understand you my friend CrazyDT, i know how you feel, cause i feel the same way. i don't want to think about myself, because i have friends and a lot of people who are precious to me back in uzb. they suffer, they struggle for every peace of bread everyday. and this problems that aren't even put effort to be solved frick me out too. i want to do something but how? if you take any actions you most likely to end up in jail, as an Islamic rebel, or enemy of society. but i am sure there will be one day, guys, when our country will need us and we can put our effotrs to make chages!!!

there is one main solution for this problem; "Freedom of Trade" and "Reduction of Income taxes for SMEs". isn't it very simple? Yes for us!! but no for our authorities who want to get as much money as possible out of it!! This brings another problem"Corruption" which is very beneficial for our prisident too.

ok, to begin with uzbek government needs to let small and medium sized business grow, so we don't have to import the stuff from abroad but export and get the sucking US dollars.
the benefit
- we won't run out of us dollars, instead we'll be able to increase our supply of it
- the more we export succesfully, the stronger uzbek currency becomes

as we import even toilet papers, we have to pay in US dollars that leads us dollar stock of uzbekistan to go abroad. that's why nowadays uzbek government is afraid of running out of this stock. the consequences of running out of that stock is quite disastrous.

If the buildings foundation is wrong , crooked and has problem no matter what You built will not be right and eventually would collapse. (Italian Piaza not for example).

You noted right regarding the sinking boat, can I ask You question :

- When ship has hole and all the intentions are not to patch that hole but
start take out nails & screws and woods to build own personnal boats.

Of cource that is very important issue, but problem is how many time this import transaction of this kind ? What is the U$ dollar amount ? (including the "kickbacks").

Do other republics are conducting same type of transactions always, so if production lines installed in UZB , this products are also could be exported.

How mach is the cost smallest toilet paper/napkin production line including the waste paper /cellolose reproduction line ?

Buying the ready product doesnt involve much efforts and labor, but production lines are need labor , so our people can able to work not to think something else, like to get pay for distributing some kind papers and get prosecuted.

Regarding bribery or others , becouse people are hungry they are not hungry for they stomack they hungry for they EYE's. I think this my opinion: Regulate with strict regulation or/and law to indicate that any government employee or officials to have/own minimum amount of stock / shares on privat companies. I think this opinion is may become handy with present income tax regulations. This is just simpe opinion, not an advise.
