In the middle of the night, an innocent and beautiful looking full moon, lights up the English sky in a very peculiar way. May be this full moon is the only one, who does something and in return wants nothing. Because even the Sun pays a visit very rarely and shortly to this country. Just like being visited by a celebrity, costly, shortly and of course rarely. Hard to believe, but yes, this whole country is built upon credit! Everything can be borrowed and sure, everything can be lent in here. The person’s whole life is erected on credit. The lender builds all his plans for the future upon the filthy interest that he reaps from the credit lent. Why should not he? He has the State to come to his assistance, if anything goes wrong. The state, of course, has something called Social Welfare Policy. In its turn this wonderful policy is supported by a strong Army. Ooo what a glorious Army it is. This is the only invincible army in Europe that could stand against Hitler. This is the Army that served the Queen, who used to hold sway over the two-thirds of the world once upon a time. And that army has “brave” soldiers in its ranks who are prepared to lay down their lives just to make sure that those borrowers and lenders are not troubled or disturbed. Hundreds of little innocent children in Bagdad, like Ali could lose their both hands, hundreds of guests at the wedding party in some place called Bamiyan, Afganistan could be killed by an American Air Force, it is OK. But these lenders and borrowers can neither be troubled nor disturbed. You may wonder, what happens if they are troubled or disturbed indeed. No one knows the answer to that question. It is commonly acknowledged that no one should be troubled in democratic countries. It is the rules, don’t ask me!
The very word Democracy sounds like a music to peoples ears, they are so much used to this word. I personally don’t know if there is one single country or politician who has not claimed to be a Democratic or Democrat.
They say that Democracy has started in the West and that is where it has been best preserved and exercised. So here we are in the West with a money from the sale of Cotton, in our pockets. By the way, it takes one whole year of labour on the field for millions of Uzbek farmers to produce the best quality cotton in the world. Yet here we are in the West to learn Democracy and pay for it in hard currency, the money well deserved by the Uzbek farmers, but well snatched away by the West. In a way, I’m happy that we came to them to learn, otherwise I’m afraid they would have come to us to teach Democracy. Certainly, they would not say they had come to blow the hands of little Alis or turn the wedding parties into funerals, they would say their mission was to spread Democracy. After some time, I have come to realize how expensive Democracy could be. And that puts me into panic from time to time, thinking will the money coming from our cotton industry be enough?! Maybe, we are simply lucky to come by during a “Sale” period. The reason for saying so is, so far all the gonna-be or wanna-be democracies like Kosova, Afganistan and Iraq, to acquire Democracy, have given away their Independence. What a price! In ancient Greece there was a philosopher called Plato. According to him we all live in Dream World, the True World is somewhere out there, beyond our reach. In other words, don’t worry whatever happens to you in this world, this is all temporary, this is all dream. The west told us that it belived in Plato. And we told the West that we believed in its words. In other words, we believed that the West believed in Democracy. The former Defence and Prime Minister of Israel Menachim Begin has said this “Propaganda is an art of making people believe in things, which you don’t necessarily believe yourself”. What? What, gentlemen, are you saying that this was all a Propaganda? But don’t you believe in Plato? What about Democracy? Well at least you believe in God, don’t you? God is Dead? Who says God is Dead? Nietsche says so. Nietsche’s books are preferred to Bible in these Lands. Nietsche’s logic is held superior to Bible’s. As a matter of fact Nietsche was the first person to predict Christianity’s death. The holy Bible was, indeed revealed to Jesus through angel Gabriel from God. Unfortunately, the each of the so called apostles and saints changed it according to their own desires and needs. And every one of them claimed to be holding the authentic version of it. At the beginning, everything was running smoothly, but as the time progressed, so did the consciousness of humanity. The people later realized that the Bible they have been following was not a divine revelation, but a collection of unrelated, insignificant stories from the Ancient Middle East. And I would say Nietsche was one of the first to realize this. And strikingly similar phenomena, is happening now, in our days. And I am the first man who discovered it. Democracy is dying. Yes in front of our very eyes Democracy is being slaughtered. Nowadays every nation has its own version of Democracy. English, American, French, Israeli, Indian and Russian versions of Democracy exist. In 1999, in Pakistan, General Pervez Musharraf orchestrated coup-d’etat and overthrew the previous Prime Minister Navoz Sharif. And do you know what was the official Chinese reaction to that coup d’etat? That’s what they said in the public statement they had released “ We strongly condemn the coup d’etat, because it is contrary to the democratic principles of governance”. Even China considers itself to be a Democratic country. Now who can tell me, which one of these nations hold the authentic version of Democracy? That’s right, none of them. If we all watched Hollywood films, ate at McDonalds and drank Diet Coke probably USA would straight away recognise us as a democratic Nation. But if we preferred ORT, Vodka, Kalashnikov machine-guns, MiG-8 helicopters and Su-17 jets that surely would make us the most democratic nation in Russia’s eyes. Democracy is dying, to be more precise it’s being killed. The most striking thing is the fact that Democracy is being butchered under the very banner of “For Democracy” and no one seems to realize that. I don’t know what comes to this world, once the democracy is gone. Now I am more concerned about this full moon hanging over my head. It’s starting to play on my nerves, I’m so sick of it. I missed the Crescent, no, not the half moon, I missed the New Moon, that’s what I call it. I missed the book that neither one word of it has been taken, added nor changed. I missed my people who are scattered all around the huge land mass, stretching from the shores of Adriatic right up to the Great Chinese Wall. They say life has its ups and downs, maybe it’s alright sometimes to feel little down. Maybe that Full Moon is a sign for the arrival of long expected New Moon. Anyway the night is almost over, but hey, the Light comes from the Orient. That means one way or another we are bound to have one more Sunrise in the East.
