Max, well, usergroups are useful for setting up specific permissions. Let's say if I wanted to allow only "students" group to view the education board, it would be quite handy to use the group instead of selecting particular users independently.

hm, then we have only 2 user groups: Students & Umidies... and no previleges yet...

For example, in your forum you also have a hidden, from others, group moderators.
