There will be FSA FLEX conference dedicated to the 10th anniversary of the program. the admins of the program are thinking about making a publication also dedicated to the anniversary.

the publication should appeal to:
-alumni
-host-families
-people interested in learning about the program etc.

Obviously, essays and photo section will be there.

For more info please contact your regional offices. historically, younger alimni tend to be more active. if there are old folks, like me, come out and let us know of what you are doing.

as for me, i am FSAU alumnus 03' . I was in community college in IL, then went to UMKC in Kansas city, MO

actually my case is the most unique i would say, coz I was one of only those lucky students who was transfered from community college to university in the middle of the program. Then when i came back home they didn't give me alumni status at first, but i got it later on.

Uzbekistan is not a bullshit.

You don't sign not to continue your studies, aka go to college, you sign to spend two years in Uzbekistan. At least that is what I recall from signing that paper. If you can stay, you have to have pretty darn good reason to stay. But if you can't you are going to be shipped. all cool!

family, which is wonderful. They treat me wicked good. "Wicked" is
a slang in New England area, which means "very cool" or something like that.

So far, I've been to NYC twice, and liberty bell city- Phills.I hang out in Boston pretty often. It's one and a half hour drive.

I'm so excited about the next week. Because I'm going to Orlnado, Florida. YAy! I wanna see that real sun, which sort of looks like in Uzbekistan. It's really cold in here. I dreamed of to see real snow like in the movies, that became true, it snows everyday in here. This allows me to snowboard. Boarding is fun stuff to do!

Yeah, Nate was "sugar daddy" for us. He was really funny, at times really serious.

Whoa whoa! Coolio, how in the world could you say that? Think about good things and don't be that pessimistic...Everything is going to be fine, maybe first several months you will go through so called reverse culture shock, but it will go away after some time...Just try not to think about it too much...

It is really nice to hear from ya guys. Yeehhaa! FLEX rules!
I'm really enjoying my stay at Concord, NH. I live in a middle class
family, which is wonderful. They treat me wicked good. "Wicked" is
a slang in New England area, which means "very cool" or something like that.

So far, I've been to NYC twice, and liberty bell city- Phills.I hang out in Boston pretty often. It's one and a half hour drive.

I'm so excited about the next week. Because I'm going to Orlnado, Florida. YAy! I wanna see that real sun, which sort of looks like in Uzbekistan. It's really cold in here. I dreamed of to see real snow like in the movies, that became true, it snows everyday in here. This allows me to snowboard. Boarding is fun stuff to do!

Yeah, Nate was "sugar daddy" for us. He was really funny, at times really serious.
