Yeeeeeeeees badbash..... too old at 21 ;)
More important than age is to stay healthy and injury free, and touch wood it looks better this season than last.
With Iroda Tulyaganova it is also a mental part to dissolve. She tends to be so   nervous on important points

same bashara: Yes it is commond for most sports people, two weeks ago I was asked to find some questions for an interview with Tulyaganova. A friend of mine Etienne Stekelenburg made the interview in Holland.
Here is a link:

Earlier this year Iroda and her coach, said that they would work hard to be better at the important points. THe mental part of sport can be trained just as th physikal :)

..............Where other promising Uzbekistan players like Frangulyan and Lepshenko choose to change their nationality Iroda Tulyaganova never saw a reason to do so. She’s very happy playing for Uzbekistan. Lolita Frangulyan does not see herself play professional tennis anymore and left for the United States to study and play college tennis. Unfortunately the Uzbekistan sponsors supported both Frangulyan and Lepshenko before they left the country..............
Who ever wrote this article should know, it’s not possible to change their nationality what they have changed is citizenship. Besides the author is not a professional writer, some sort of hook up story about Iroda. Propaganda!

same bashara: You are off course right, you can?t change nationality, but the expression is often used in tennis terminology. I wanted to ask Tulyaganova what she regarded as the best way to avoid young athletes changing their citizenship, but in the written interview the question is not answered. Citizenship has few or any consequenses as long as you are a proffesional tennisplayer. The WTA takes care of all practical things. Paying tax is another cup of tea
And you are right, it is propaganda, propaganda for Tulyaganova, and that was also the intention as she usually are neglected by the press in Europe.
Etienne Stekelenburg is a well respected sport journalist from Holland. He wrights for tennis magasines, but the last years he has been working more on the web.

Ja ne net perebodnik, no zdijes interbju s Ordina
Looking back at Iroda Tulyaganova’s shoulder and elbow injuries she said that they might have been caused by the way she was serving. Along with her new coach Dmitri Tomashevich Iroda said they are working on a more accurate serve instead of focussing on more speed.

Also competing in a large number of tournaments could have caused her troubles with her injuries, she said. «Always trying to defend your points». Other players before her, like Navratilova and Hingis, have mentioned that a full schedule and the pressure of defending points can lead to injuries and strain.

Tulyaganova’s role as representative tennis player for Uzbekistan is one of helping out the youngsters and it makes her proud playing for her country which she sometimes feels nervous about because she wants to perform at her best playing before her home crowd. Iroda emphazised that the Uzbekistan crowd is the best crowd to play for. Many people in Uzbekistan support her and think of her as a national heroine, according to Iroda some people don’t like her or are envious of her situation. In the future her wish is to start a tennis school to help out the boys and girls who like to learn tennis in Tashkent. She does not see a role as a coach for herself.

At the moment the family is building a new house in Tashkent and she is moving in soon but she is also keeping her small apartment she grew up in because its filled with good memories and «if I feel tired of my parents I can move back to my apartment» she added laughing.
