ilhan mansiz is OK, but Hasan Sas, Alpay, Umit Davala, Emre belezoglu, Rustu Recber and Hakan Sukur are much better players.

Ilhan is spoiled, But the other players (believe it or not) are REAL, they are natural. THey come from original anatolian Turkish roots and are really talented.

I especially like Nihat Kahveci (he was chosen the best player n the spanish league this year)
I also like Hakan Sukur because he's so experienced, and Emre!
Emre is great.

When THe Turkish National team landed in Turkmenistan, the government of Turkmenistan BANNED all turkmens from visiting them and celebratiNG! THAT REALLY GOT ME UPSET!

THey are a good team, and insallah one day, all Turkics will be as successful and we will all understand the value of brotherhood. United we stand, divided we fall apart!!
I know this might sound wierd to you all, but it comes from my heart.

Even if someone is spoiled it doesn't make him a bad player now, does it :-) and we, I hope, are talking about football not morality :)

Another point is, if someone doesn't come from "orginal anatolian roots", does it mean he really is spoiled? :-)

It's not 'umid', but rather'Umit'.

Now in regards to Ilhan, I don't prefer him because he's spoiled and NOT professional. In fact Besiktas is looking to trasnfer him for another goal scorer this year.

And ilhan is the most 'anatolian' among them all, in that he has turkmen features, bit that's not the case. He might be an OK football player, but he's not worth the risk. He's too obnixious and egotistical, in fact soon he'll be thrown out of Besiktas to be replaced by a real frward ;)

In anycase, you still didn't answer my question-'how do ou find tyhe Turkish national team'?

chiatrist, As soon as I posted, I realized that I made a spelling mistake in Ahmet's name...since I entered as a guest. I couldn’t make any changes. I just thought you would get it anyway, but you rather liked to point it out :) Well, that's fine with me.

I really like soccer, and I followed every other game in world championship. I thought Galatasaray made the 3rd place in world cup ;) correct me if I am wrong. At least most of the players were chosen from Galatasaray team, weren't they?

About Mansiz; I rather not agree with the fact that he is spoiled or that he will be kicked out from Besiktas...In my opinion, the only reason why people say that he is spoiled and egoistic is that he has been raised in Germany and he has some ideology that may not suits "Anatolian" Turks. I can see his passion for fame, but it still not makes him a bad player. Again I am telling that morality has nothing to do with the ability to kick ball.

You type perfect Turkish-I read some Ozbekce and understood it, even if not perfectly, but your knowledge and comprehension of Turkish is quite impressive.

About Mansiz:
Listen, there are many German born turkish players. Such as Yildiray Basturk, Umit Davala etc. But none of them are as spoiled as Ilhan.
I'm a Besiktas fan, but I still don't like the guy. But he plays OK football, however wth the New strikers coming on board, he'll be out soon.

the new Turkish team (if you've watched the confederation cup matches) are better than the current one! THese youngsters are brilliant. It's an exciting time for Turkish football because even at the regular small clubs-there is big talent.

You're right about Galatasaray players forming the backbone of the Turkish team but the team selected for the confederation cup was from teams across anatolia-and these youngsters are already wanted by major clubs in Europe.

I find this all to be an exciting time for Turkish football, pretty soon the Euro cup is coming up, and I'm excited to see how far the Turkish team will go. Most Turks are expecting the European championship.

If I'm not wrong I read it in another forum that Ilhan Mansiz has Tatar origins, not Turkmen. Though I'm not sure if his ancestors are Crimean or Kazan Tatars.

а откуда ты так хорошо на английском? совсем как взрослый человек.

Теперь в тему:
Рушту не самый лучший игрок - но почему-то всем женщинам он нравится больше всех в команде. (так что учтите все те, кому нравится malizia).

Мансыз, хоть и большой, но шустрый - и лишних движений не делает - просто забивает. А десятка, забыл как его зовут (Белазоглу - что сын БелАЗа?) тоже нормально двигается. А Хасаншах (если не ошибаюсь - бритый такой) - самый подвижный и создает голевые ситуации.

интересно наблюдать, как Узбеки, не имея хорошей своей команды, болеют за Турков - как никак хоть понимаем, что означают их фамилии (см. выше).
