In The Name Of Allah The Most Gracious The Most Merciful
Ayah
Surah Ash-Shuara Ayah 213-214
So invoke not with Allah another ilah (god) lest you be among those who receive punishment.
And warn your tribe (O Muhammad (peace be upon him)) of near kindred.
Hadith
Narrated Abu Hurairah:
Allaah's Messenger (peace be upon him) got up when the Verse
"And warn your tribe (O Muhammad (peace be upon him)) of near kindred"
was revealed and said, "O Quraish people! (or he said a similar word) Buy yourselves! I cannot save you form Allaah (if you disobey him). O Bani 'Abd Manaf! I cannot save you from Allaah (if you disobey him). O' Abbas! The son of Abdul-Muttalib! I cannot save you from Allaah (if you disobey him). O Safiyya, the aunt of Allah's Messenger! I cannot save you from Allaah (if you disobey him). O Fatima, the of Muhammad (peace be upon him)! Ask what you wish from my property, but I cannot save you from Allaah (if you disobey him)."
[Sahih Bukhari 6/4471 (O.P. 294)]
NB: Every person should try to protect himself from Allaah's punishment by doing good deeds and by showing obedience to Allaah and to Allaah's Messenger's (peace be upon him) orders. Nobody, can do him any good in this respect no matter how close a relative he may be.
