..... For some, it is possible evidence that Uzbekistan is finally preparing to liberalise its Soviet-style economy. Ms Karimova, according to this version, wants to be well placed when long-standing currency restrictions are removed and western investors arrive in greater numbers. Others, however, say she is accumulating what she can while her father is still in power.....

so what you all think about this?

Ps not interested in Fox's opinion.

hehe, i think this young (?) lady is such a state of being that we would call "alamzada." as far as I understand from the article, ms karimova lost the trial and is now deprived of her two children and the ability to visit "several western countries." ms karimova also has a great opportunity to "get on her feet" while her dad is the boss in the country (as the article mentions). actually, there is an interesting trend observed in the Central Asian region: Kazakhstan: ms nazarbayeva jr possesses the media market of Kazakhstan; Kyrgyzstan: the son-in-law of Akayev is also on the same path, i.e. has a good grip (owns) the Vecherniy Bishkek, KyrgInfo.kg, Ayrek advertising center, KOORT and NASHE RADIO broadcasters; and now we have ms karimova after 12 yrs of being abroad...

teper ostalsa shizofrenic "bashi" i otets-molodets Rahmonov s 9 (!) detmi... vot oni chto-nibud takoe "vikinut" i budem vse vmeste budem gulyat na chyey libo svadbe... tipa sina akayova i docheri nazarbayova... hehe, celebrity marriages... they never last, do they?*

I don't get why so many of us discuss Miss Karimova. She's a pawn, as soon as her father dies all her money will dissappear, and she'll live in abroad a simple life. Look what happened to the daughter of Stalin, or son of Khrushew. There're lot more other topics.
All her might is very temporary. Her father(inshallah) will pass away, and she will do the same as well.

P.S. And you guys seriously discussing what she ownes and what she doesn't remind me old grandmas at our PODYEZD.
