Qadrli Vatandoshlar!
I am doing a research on the role of censorship and trying to find an answer whether it will bring stability or instability to the Uzbek society. I call to participate in this survey everybody who is not indifferent to the destiny of our Uzbekistan. Survey consists of 20 questions and will take no more than 10 minutes of your precious time. Please take part in it as soon as possible as it will be dissappered from this site in 10 days.
I highly appreciate your valuable input.
Hurmat bilan,

Guest: e0ec4820, Please, introduce yourself to us, or gives us some background about yourself.

Also, is it possible to make the results public? It's very good info to have around.

Thanks.

Dear CrazyDT (sorry you named yourself so :-),
I study at Columbia University.
Certainly I'll make it public soon after the end date of the survey, i.e. Sep 1, 2003 here and also in one of the Ivy League conferences. But to make it as efficient as possible I need your help to spread the word and post it in you own list-serves, websites and/or circle of friends. Many thanks for those who've already voted and left valuable feedbacks.
Best.

Guest: 6f3e9138,

A couple of notes:
1) Answer choices under 'What is your age?' are not mutually exclusive.

2) 17 & 18 's questions are little convoluted. I couldn't understand which way which, thus my results are blank.

what and where do you study at Columbia? and what kind of research do you do there? also, could you post the results please. thanks.

I am not doing any classified researches at some secret laboratory. I'll make my findings public here at forum.uz. Check it out more often. I just want to make clear the false illusions; shape a common view about freedom of speech and reiterate that a censorship is harmful, useless and humiliating as was wisely told by Karim Bakhriev.
Katta rahmat.

Columbia guy: you're referring to Western and Russian media as a single entity (Western/Russian) while you must clearly distinguish them because they're very different in nature.
