Hi guys.
I would like to ask a question regarding arbuz.uz As all you know maybe most of you do anyway, that this site has mp3 format music files which can be downloaded quite easily and for free. Is it legal to provided such service? Particularly regarding intellectual property and copyright laws.

if my understanding is correct: it is legal, since there a permission from UzbekNavo. therefore, any music of artists registered with UzbekNavo (i.e. all Uzbek artists) can be shared with registered users.

This site is really god for those who are abroad. You can easily listen to hight quality records of very so many Uzbek songs. I am right now listening to "Umr O'tar" by Ortik Otajonov. ;)

я до сих пор удивляюсь, как вам удалось получить разрешение! С другой стороны, можно дать формулировку, что арбуз занимается дальнейшим распространением узбекской культуры зарубежом.

Hmm BB kogda v Uzbekistane posledniy raz bil. Formulirovka bivaet tolko kogda otstegnesh nujnim lyudyam.

ББ, мы разрешение с УзбекНаво еще в 1999 году получили. Тогда Арбуза не было, был лишь UzDessert (который до сих пор еще существует). А разрешение нам дали из-за того, что мы на самом деле обещали распространять узбекскую музыку и культуру за рубежом.

Could you just state that all the downloadable music or video have copyright permission given by the UzbekNavo or any other means. So that it's easy to know & no hesitation before thinking of downloading couple of mp3s

music.arbuz.com is good because you can find almost any uzbek artist you want, but(!) there's no a singer that could be listened...

Before laughing at me or someono else in that matter plz think about it first. Anyone who wants to download music from any site its up to their free will. I asked the question & put my suggestion not because I think about so much but increase awereness towards intellectual property & copyright laws which happens to be my interest. :)

I was sure that they were illegal, and I was happy to download them(although I hesitated about legality ;)). Now, I know that it's legal, and I don't want to download them no more... When it's illegal and free, you feel yourself like a guerrila or hi-tech hacker :)
