Useless to say,the world has much changed since the end of communist regime and September 11 attack.As a winner in cold war,United States hit by the deadly attack,but with the patrotism and ambition of American people American power remains strong and unchallenged.We could sense it through several international events that United States enabled its political,economical and millitary power doubled and enhanced.Obviously,US would likely be only super-nation at least another half century.
What is going on in rest of world?Another positive answer is EU.The EU possesses one third of global economy,taking in new member states steadily,establishing its own millitary forces,but,it is hard to see to replace American leadership for another half century.However,The EU is one of the important zone in global economy and politics.
It has been very impressing what the issue on Russia.After split of the former Russian empire,one could hardly believe that the ex-superpower would play any significant role except in central and east Asia.We can say,Russia is a slowly dying nation both in economy and politics(millitary not included).
Another mysterious country China and with its legend of devolopement in recent two decades no longer ignorable by the World.People who have not been in China recent 10 years might have live under imagination of Cold War heritage about this country and they are completely wrong.China's success in economy,millitary and politics is enormous and unimaginable.Though,there are over 13 billion people living in China with different language and culture,but,these people keep firmly of their chinese identity despite of their differences.Once you have travelled across in China you can feel that cantonese,shanghaiese and mandarin fail to communicate in their own tongue without hepl of their second language PUTONGHUA(common dialect=mandarin).But,they are chinese both in China and abroad,not only in Hong Kong,Macau,but also Taiwanese admit their chinese identity,in spite of their strugle against China for indepence.Though China's political system puzzles the World,but,it makes no sense for chinese people and would never a barrier for people to construct their strong economy and power.We could expect a more powerfull and strong China next decades.No one could stop the raise of China in the following half century.
Another regional power India has similar progress as China and well known for its world class IT industries.But,Future will uncertain for its unstable political stuation and conflict in Kashmir and with Pakistan.
It has been an amazing thing for people who have been observing the Arab world.Though Palestinians received much symphathies from the peace loving people aroun the World,but,splitted Arabs stands for disappointment.They have nothing in economy and millitary except natural resourses.It is little stupid to count on them to play any role in the World except distribution of Islamic fundementalism and more Bin laden and Saddam Hussein.No hope for the Arabs in the next half century.
Most disappointing and tragedical part is the World of Turks.Despite of their glorious past and huge success in the history.modern Turks remain divided and isolated each other.The only period for Turks who lived under one identity was Gokturk(Kokturk),since then they have never lived in common territory.By geografical and political differences throughout centuries,Turks distanded by cultural differences.Turk identity not even accepted completely.Turks has nearly 150 million people in the World,but,the only thing in common just symphacy.I don't see that Turks(any of them) will have a permament seat in Security concil of UN.I don't see Turk language will be recognized as an official language of UN.I don't see the sand-like splitted Turks will live togather under same identity and territory in any sircumstance.I don't see If Turkey will strong enough as Germany, Uzbekistan strong enough as S.Korea or Azerbaijan strong enough as Singapore by all means.But,i will see the Turks will stay scattered and ignored.No matter how hard the Turks will tries,There is no chance for them to play global role anymore,unless some of the nomad-minded people face the reality.Turks has more to learn from the world.
Economy from Germany or Japan.
Nationalism from China.
Democracy from US.
Unity from Israel.
Brazen and opurtunism from Russia.
Then maybe there some hope!!!
(If they don't think and act like nomad-minded and stick to Islamic-fundementalism)
