Uzbekistan, where land ownership, independent and
protected private business, and convertible currency
remain dreams for average citizens.

I am a computer designer and won second
place in a national contest of web design. I
used to work for a private TV station that was
making money but then it got closed by the
authorities because we were too independent,
so I lost my job. My mother works in the gas
industry, but half the year she does not get her
salary so she has to go to the bazaar to make a
living. This is why I am moving to Moscow....I
will look for a computer job there…and earn
money to send it back here for my mother and
sister. I see no future here
