Uzbekistan will be without star striker Maxim Shatskikh for Wednesday's World Cup qualifier with Palestine.
The Dynamo Kiev player has stayed in the Ukraine, where his club are competing for the title, and will not be joining up with his teammates for the Group 2 clash in Tashkent.
Shatskikh, who has twice topped the scoring charts in the Ukraine league, missed Uzbekistan's last World Cup game against Chinese Taipei but played in the 1-1 draw with Iraq in February.
Uzbekistan coach Ravshan Khaydarov has put together a very strong squad featuring six players from Russia and one from Moldova, together with a host of local players.
The 20-man squad features mainly Pakhtakor players as well as Zafar Khalmuradov from Nasaf Qarshi, who is expected to become a Pakhtakor player next season.
Having lost two important points against Iraq at the beginning of their World Cup campaign, Uzbekistan were not at their best against Chinese Taipei but managed to get the win thanks to Leonid Koshelov's goal.
Khaydarov's team are currently second in Group 2, level on point with Palestine, who lead the group on goal difference.
