Few months ago, i saw this ad for Volkswagen Jetta VR6 on TV, where a guy rushes to stop the wedding of the woman he loves. I was dying to see more, but unfortunately, the ad lasted a mere 30 seconds, which then pushed me to turn to Internet for self-rescue. I fell in love with the storyboard, the design and with the people who directed and edited the commercial. The ad was short, but yet it was very powerfull, provoking and moving. Throughout the commercial, it is hard to notice the type of car being advertised, but still the brand name "Volkswagen" sticks with you. Altogether with the brand imagery in a "twisted" portrayal, the 30-second commercial also had a visual poetry, exquisite melody, honesty, suspence, and deep emotions. I just wanted to share it with you, because I believe that most of us will be directly or indirectly connected with making ads in the future, and I think that this ad gives us something to learn from professional marketers.

You can view the commercial at AdCritic (short version; fast download; and good quality)
