View Full Version : Who are the Shias?
:salam:
I have promised to make a small research on "Shia" after two of our brothers had an argument of calling Shias "kuffar". According to many researches of Scholars they differ in arguments of calling Shias "Kuffar" but they agree on fact that some Shias perform an act of "kufr". One of such acts is that some "Shia" (not all Shia perform an act of "kufr" as one might be brought up among Shia and call himself Shia but do not perform an act of Kufr) is the claim that their Imam's have a knowledge of "unseen". The permission of Mut'ah (temporary marriage for a certain period of time) was prohibited by Prophet :saws:. Accordingly Scholars claim that generally Shias can not be denounced "kuffar" except for the knowledgable ones who continue to give fatwas against the Quran and/or Sunnah or Prophet :saws: even though there is a lot of source available to clarify these issues. One may say that this and that person commits an act of KUFR but to denounce a person as KAFIR you need to be very carefull because the Punishment for becoming a Kafer after acceptance of Islam is death.
And Allah swt Knows the Best.

Here is Hadeeth:
Narrated by al-Bukhaari,3979 ; Muslim,1407.
It was narrated from ‘Ali (may Allaah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) forbade mut’ah marriage and the meat of domestic donkeys at the time of Khaybar. According to another report, he forbade mut’ah marriage at the time of Khaybar and he forbade the meat of tame donkeys.
Narrated by Muslim,1406
It was narrated from al-Rabee’ ibn Sabrah al-Juhani that his father told him that he was with the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) who said, “O people, I used to allow you to engage in mut’ah marriages, but now Allaah has forbidden that until the Day of Resurrection, so whoever has any wives in a mut’ah marriage, he should let her go and do not take anything of the (money) you have given them.”
The above should suffice for any person who are in the path of Quran and Sunnah of Muhammad :saws:. Anyone who do not agree with Quran and Sunnah of Muhammad :saws: is kafir.
I have deleted every post except this and above one in order to control the ORDER on this thread. I think in order not to spread a fitnah we will stop on the above two hadeeth.
IS THERE ANYONE WHO DO NOT AGREE OR ACCEPT THE ABOVE TWO HADEETH? ONLY POST: "AGREE" or "DISAGREE". Only then we will move to another topic of difference between Shia and Sunni. Any other post will be deleted.

[1] Imaam ash-Shaafi‘ee
On one occasion, ash-Shaafi‘ee said concerning the Shee‘ah, "I have not seen among the heretics a people more famous for falsehood than the Raafidee Shee‘ah." [1] On another occasion he said, "Narrate knowledge from everyone you meet except the Raafidee Shee‘ah, because they invent Hadeeths and adopt them as part of their religion." [2]
[2] ‘Abdullaah Ibnul-Mubaarak
Ibnul-Mubaarak was reported to have said, "Religion is gained from Ahlul-Hadeeth, scholastic theology and crafty exemptions from religious ordinances of Ahlur-Ra’yee (the people of opinion) and lies from the Raafidee Shee‘ah." [3]
[3] Al-Qaadee Aboo Ya‘laa
It was reported that Aboo Ya‘laa said, "The position of jurists concerning one who curses the Sahaabah, believing that such an act is permissible, is that he has committed an act of disbelief. If he curses them but does not believe that cursing them is permissible, then he is guilty of immorality, and not disbelief." [4]
[4] Ibn Hazm al-Andaloosee
One day during the period of Muslim rule in Spain, Imaam Aboo Muhammad Ibn Hazm was having a debate with some Spanish Catholic priests about their religious texts. He brought before them evidence of textual distortions in the Bible and the loss of original manuscripts. When they replied by pointing out to him Shee‘ee claims also being distorted, Ibn Hazm informed them that "The Shee‘ah could not be used as evidence against the Qur’aan or against Muslims because they are not themselves Muslims." [5]
[5] Muhibbud-Deen al-Khateeb
This scholar wrote a book on them called al Khutootul-‘Areedah lil-Ususullatee Qaama ‘Alayhaa Deenish-Shee‘ah al-Ithnaa ‘Ashriyyah (lit. Broad outlines of the basis for the Twelver Shee‘ee Creed). He also footnoted earlier works on the Shee‘ah like Al-Muntaqaa and ‘Awaasim minal-Qawaasim. In all of his works he considers the Shee‘ah to be disbelievers.
