What did you do for your country this year?

Hi,

recently I have been thinking if I have done anything for my country during this year...Hmmm..

..However, I found out that I didn't do anything worthy of mentioning....yet.....well, I have four months till the next year, after all...I have loggod on to your forum just a couple of weeks ago...mainly because I was surprised to read from time to time some opinions and comments which I think are brilliant.

So, it would be really interesting to know what our fellow readers are doing or have done for their country this year...

By the way, I am thinking to buy an airticket from Uzbekistan Airways. It might be something at least;) while i am in uzbekistan I will defenitely do smth reasonable lateer on...

The best thing one can do for his relatives(not the country) is to become rich enough to help them.

Doing something good ex. buying a ticket from UzAirways while perhaps you could get a better deal with Aeroflot doesn't mean that you're helping them. You're "helping" them keep their bad service and high prices as if it was normal, because people like you keep on buying tickets.

Uz. airway's service is not bad, i've seen worse...at least it's safe! It is a contribution to the country in a way, economially, imagine if noone would fly Uz.Airways... :shock:
Your country is your mother-land, all it can do to you is give a citizenship, so enjoy that at least...

I am sorry, I for example am not eager to fly to Moscow because I hate the airport customs i ne lublu dolgo sidit. Ya lechu cherez Frankfurt, i mne tak spokoynee. I would fly Lufthansa, no oni uje ubrali. So I do not have big choices. I takje ne hochu Turkey, tam sidit nado gde to 7 chasov. I personally am satisfied with the Havo Yollari service. Nu komu kak.

I've been trying to organize charity donations, mostly consisting of clothes and non-perishable food to villages of Uzbekistan, mainly for children. The problem: can't figure out the way to bring it in to Uzbekistan without having government back on my ass....
