Everything will be kept confidential between you and BCIS. You'll not be able to return your home country untill you get LPR Status(green card). There will be an interview with the BCIS Immigration Officer which may last up to 3-4 hours, but sometimes 30 minutes.
If you are not granted Asylee Status in the U.S. then you'll be put on removal processing and will be deportable, so just be careful with the lawyers.
The price range is usually 4-6 K'. Good luck.

Thanks a lot, how do u know about that? Was it your opinion, or i know that for sure, as some other people suggest me to talk to people who knows this case really well, i did, i was just being curious. And my lawyer told me that the case would be confidential, i have a DOUBT.

girl, AFAIK, you gotta have some serious reasons and causes for asking a political asylum in this country! like you are chased by the NSS, or smth like that. It's not granted to everyone, and not everyone can even apply.

talking about the relatives: I dunno... I don't think that affects them anyhow, for you are seeking an asylum since the state (or whoever else for that matter) is after you... I mean if you are granted an asylum, there is no way you are coming back... even if they'll threaten to do smth with the family... God forbid!

ok....:)
first r u sure about that? then i agree with observer. but, when i was in US i met federal judge. he was brother of my host mom. anyways, he told me about that process and how people from russia talk that they are chased by FSB, and etc. he told me that 60-70% who comes from CIS countries talks BS to get green card. come up with strong case.
they will ask why are you chased by NSS? according to what law and so ...
if you want i kno some uzbeks in US who can help you (sto raz vidali takiye veshi) with experience...send me pm

That's wrong! As soon as you get your LPR status/Green card then you can travel wherever you want, even to your home country. No problem at all, but if you'd like to go back to your home country before getting your green card you can do that by having asylee travel documents with reentry permit to the U.S. and meet your relatives in a third country ( if you are from Uzbekistan, then you can meet them in Kazakhstan etc.).
Don't listen everybody, just work with your immigration attorney, try to have a strong case, many Uzbeks easily getting this status here, U.S. Government knows that Uzb. is Dictator/Totalitar State persecuting it's own muslims.
Good luck!

Salom Lanabegim,

I guess I owe an apology to all those who misunderstood me, you included. I just meant that one will not WANT to go back to his/her home country since he already fled from it... Balki o'zbekcha gapirsam nima demoqchi ekanligimni yaxshiroq tushuntira olarman. "Odam o'z davlatini o'sha har xil sabablarga ko'ra tark etgan bo'lsa va buni ustiga Amrikaga shikoyat qilib o'z davlati ustidan xatto Gr.Crd olgan bo'lsa, demak u odam YAXSHISI uyiga bormagani ma'qul", demoqchi edim, xolos. Gr.Crdning hech qanaqa "endi bo'ldi, o'zini davlatinga bormaysan, borsang oyog'ini sindiraman" degan legal binding (!) yo'q! :D aytmoqchi bo'ganim, u odamga qarshi o'z davlati tomonidan tazyiq o'tkizishi mumkin-ku, shu xolos! :)

If you do not have well founded fear or conventional reason , would not advise you to do so.They will ask questions upside down, lengthy, thorough, probe interview will definitely reveal who really you are.But if you prepeare very well, your solicitor is really good then you could be granted an asylum even with fake cases.

I gotta quich question.
If you filled application for an asylum and without waiting your travel passport left US. Would you be able to get in touch with ur lawyer get advance parole and get back into US?
