FTEC Resources Bhd said it has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with JSC Koinot and World Studio Co to set-up an assembly facility in Uzbekistan to produce personal computers and related accessories.
“The MoU is primarily to lay down the broad terms for a possible joint venture between the parties to set up an assembly facility in Uzbekistan focusing on the production of personal computers and related accessories.
“The JV will also look at the possibility of entering new business in the future, which may include but not limited to, notebook and other related electronic products,” Ftec said in a statement.
tec will provide the technology and assembly know-how, as well as parts and components for the production of personal computers, while JSC Koinot will secure the necessary licences and infrastructure and World Studio will provide the sales and distribution channels to market 20,000 PCs. – AFX-Asia
