PETALING JAYA – A hat-trick by Nodirbek Kuziboyev got Uzbekistan off to an excellent start at the AFC Youth Championship as they trounced Laos 5-2 in their Group C opener at the MPPJ Stadium on Sunday.
The Uzbeks went to the top of the group on goal difference, ahead of Syria who came from behind to beat India 2-1 in the day’s other match.

Uzbekistan controlled proceedings but were unable to find the net in the first half as their South East Asian opponents bravely held out in defence.

It was to be a completely different story though in a second half that produced seven goals after Kuziboyev opened the scoring in the 54th minute.

Sengaloun Souvanh scored the equaliser for Laos just three minutes later but Kuziboyev struck again in the 71st and 74th minutes to complete his treble and put Uzbekistan back in charge.

Visay Phaphouvanin gave Laos hope of a point when he pulled a goal back in the 84th minute but striker Marat Bikmoev made it 4-2 in the 84th minute and substitute Abbas Abdullayev sealed the win with Uzbekistan’s fifth in the final minute.

Meanwhile, Syria were forced to come from a goal down to beat an Indian side that only earned a place in the competition following the late withdrawal of Turkmenistan.

Striker Vimal Pariyar stunned the Middle Eastern side by putting India ahead on the half-hour mark. However, defender Safir Al Atasi equalized ten minutes in the second half and Abdul Al Razak Al Housain completed the recovery with a 77th minute winner.

Рауф Инелеев она два года назад этих ребят вывел в полуфинал юношеского чемпионата Азии. Надеюсь и в этот раз повторит.
