Lets answer the title first and content later.

Why people, even in the west, are against globalization. Because, any non-governmental international organisation has obligation that you must follow before becoming a member. Those obligations usually destroy a newly admitted country's economy and rebuild it into market economy. People in the west are against, because they think those obligations that new members must accept are in the interest of businesses of the developed countries and they further destroy economies of developing countries.

Why our countries do not integrate? People want integration. But, some of them are manipulated against integration, in Uzb. in particular, because regimes of our countries are not legitimate. Once the borders are open, people either flee, or develop new ideas about our current government. If people find out that everything we have shouldn't be that way, they'll overthrow the government ;)

I'm for all kinds of integrations. Because, once economies are open, first there will be a crisis. But, then the country will develop its own way of making money, ex.: tourism, silk products, dried and fresh fruits and etc. We just can't force our people use those old soviet type heavy machinery and other products.
