Iroda can still be a world class player, if she can stay injury free. uzbekistan has many young promising tennis girls. In addition to above mentioned Amanmuradova, Ivanna Isroilova (18) has had very good results, but for her, as all of the rest lack of money is the problem.
Ivanna, ranked one of the best juniors in the world two years ago, has no money to travel, and without though matches, she can not develop her play. If someone knows a sponsor or have a rich uncle :cool: ;) ...........
The frehest flower in the Uzbek tennis flora is Dilyara Saidkhodyajeva(14).
Amongst the boys the situation is a little bit easier.

:D My Avatar is from the Iroda vs. Henin match in Linz. I watched it on TV and was so proud of Iroda. It was like "The best tennis player in the world comes from Tashkent!!" THe week befor she had beaten Kim Clijsters very easily too.
To Saidkhodyajeva I must admit, she is very young and has to develop a lot to hold professional standard, but if she can get the right opportunities, she definitely has the potential and the talent.

They have powerful shots, good skill (but not using as much their skills, as it needs). That's why, sometimes they have hard games against underdog opponents, like shaparova had in Australian Open. They should be more patient. They would be completely unbeatable!
