Yes, big time :(

Tried to get Apache 1.3.33 + PHP 5.0.2 to run on this server. Everything compiled successfully, PHP 5 was running like a charm...but all existing scripts were giving massive errors. Postnuke, Phpnuke, phpBB, vBulletin, Horde, IMP, WordPress, Squirrelmail, Gallery - these are some of the scripts that were failing with weird errors. I thought of fixing the problematic scripts manually, but it would take me days to get everything working on PHP 5. Upgrading the scripts is not an option, since most of them are heavily modified...

So, whoever is planning an upgrade from PHP 4 to PHP 5 - make sure that your scripts are compatible! If you have loads of clients on your server, don't upgrade at all. Have them modify/upgrade their applications for PHP 5 compatibility first.

Just wasted a couple of hours on this and would like to share my horrible experience...

n0xyl: честно говоря на Windows XP я Apache + PHP5 никогда не ставил. Пробовал PHP4, работало. Попробуй на google поискать...может что-нибудь и найдешь. Вот маленький howto: http://www.webmasterworld.com/forum88/4495.htm

Apache и PHP лучше всего бегают на *nix :-)
