I suggest you go to a soviet or European bussiness School instead of an american one , For american level of education is lower.

Petkaface, European business schools are not the best, although many of them offer free education. As a student in one of them, I can tell you that there are a lot of disadvantages. I attend here bachelor study in Business, there is a lot of theory and not much practice. I wouldn't stay here for my graduate studies!

Omonchik,
It's not Universities' responsibility to provide you with practice. You should be the one who is supposed to be looking for internship opportunities. That being said, it is the same in the US Universities especially in the Bachelor's degree.

Guyz, Iam doing my Masters in Management now (University of Southern Denmark), but from September Iam transfering to Copenhagen Business School. Tell you what, its really nice place to study, practical and theoretical approaches are implemented here. MOREOVER its free of charge!
Yes I may admit that US B.Schools are popular, but I have read an article stating that the initiative of comprehensive business education for the last 2-3 years is taken by European leading schools (Insead, LSE, IMD, ESADA etc.).
SO...

TiTo,
Bachelor & Master's degrees were introduced in continental Europe not long time ago. Here, in Germany it started 3-4 years ago. Traditional "Diplom" degree lasts around 5 years, and it's damn boring to earn it, "quruq theoriya"! In anglo-american "world" bachelor-master crap has been developed during lots of years.
In my study, no internship is required, if you follow this, you'll be the one who goes by book after you graduate. And the lectures are more theory-oriented.
One example, last summer semester I took a course called "Introduction to Management Science", this is something like Operations Research and before that Maths I and II. The lecture was held and no exercise was offered. In the end, the exam was all practical, but requiring solution with theoretical approach, what is that supposed to mean. What I meant was that in states at least you can learn practical things during the exercise classes, but here all the burden is given to a poor student. He should do everything on his own. It's hard to manage, but Xudoga shukur, I do.

some other business schools: Columbia Business School; Yale Business School; Princeton School of Business; Cornell Business School; Dartmouth School of Business; Brown Business School . Wanted to mention Wharton School of Business (Part of UPENN), but considering YOUR REQUEST OF NOT MENTIONING VERY PRESTIGIOUS SCHOOLS, I JUST DIDN'T PUT THAT SCHOOL INTO MY LIST.AND PICKED LESS KNOWN BUSINESS SCHOOLS INSTEAD.
OHH YEAH, YOU'R WELCOME
Budu ochen' rad esli ti postupish v odnu iz visheupomyanutih universitetov (puskay esli eto daje budet Law School or MedSchool)

Ppl,
I don't know how many times a week do you read FT or WSJ...there is an interesting article on FT [paper-based, or pay online] as of April 29,2005. Of course US MBAs are stronger and quite practically designated schools...but you gotta pay $100-120 ths. for 2 years. TOP 10 global MBAs: Harvard Bus. Sch. (HSB), Wharton, Columbia Business School, Stanford, London Bus. Sch, Univ. of Chicago GSB, Darthmouth, INSEAD, NYUStern, Yale SOM.
However, TOP MBAs by value for money...there is no any US Bus. School. So, make rational decision by choosing the right school. A friend who just graduated from Columbia is deciding...where to take a job of 87 or wait for 95,000/year w/o bonuses and all shit...so talk to people who been there and done that...rather than cranching you head around with B.S. talks...
Best of luck in your "rational" decision making, my friend.
Peace,

Shredded credibility? The MBA industry may be facing a shakeout: Academic pursuits not based on reality

http://news.ft.com/c.gifAfter seven years working in Silicon Valley, AmyBonsall decided tomove to Europe to study for an MBA degree. Now a participant on the one-year programme at IMD in Switzerland, she believes her investment in both time and money will help her break out of the US market and get a more internationally focused job.
But while a growing number of young American managers are looking outside the US to study, at home many are thinking twice about the investment of 20 months and $100,000 required to get an MBA from a good US business school. Over the past two years, the number of applicants for places on MBA courses has fallen sharply.
