Hooks are crucial if in Uzbekistan, though still not impossible without them. There're plenty of opportunities and to my surprise so many int. firms are recruiting nowadays. I am sure most of them would love to hire interns.

Of course it does. This is more or less democratic society and I am not willing to become a moderator, unless you want me to. So, should you decide I should not be a moderator, I will accept that. Otherwise, I will help everyone with whatever needs they may have.

This sector needs change! I just don't see how a guy like Prince has become a moderator in something he has no knoweldge about? The less efficient this forum, the less people will be attracted to it. No wonder the level of forum has dropped over couple of years! It's because of some incompetent moderators, who are unable to control thier sectors and properly advise those who seek for help. Do you not agree?

Also, I would like to remind you that council would not exist if it was not for forum users. Council should serve to the best interest of its users, otherwise there's no purpose for its existence. If so, should people decide they want change, counsil should take it very seriously!

Well, than it does not make sense why Observer not some atheist is assigned to the board of Religion? How about Lunatic? Why is Crazy diamond in the women's sector? And Delf in Uzbekistan's? There's a clear trait in how moderators have been assigned to their positions. Even if it is all about keeping everything in order, this board is still a complete mess. Also, it does not make sense to assign moderators in sectors where they know nothing. This thread specifically is not a place for discussion, rather people come here to get their questions answered. I just don't know many people who would enjoy discussing school stuff...

as for moderator, Prince is doin pretty well and I don't think he failed sth, cuz actually some threads like "business schools in us??" are reasonable and helpful threads,which were "attacked" by NBF earlier. However, she/he(why wouldn't on earth this person specify his/her sex?:rolleyes:) says in the same thread, that there are also some schools like dartmouth business school, columbia business school blah blah...wuahahaha:lol:...those business schools have different names for god's sake....it's ridiculous to open a new thread and say the moderator is not good.

In behalf of WASP, I said I would vote for him, only because I know thiis guy did a lot of research about Universities and knows much stuff about Uncle sam's universities, that's why he could be a good candidate. I started this thread and I think I should say the last word in WASP’s favor. The question is not which moderator is better as a person, but question who has better knowledge of the subject. With all due respect to MegaZ (knowing his blood ties with Prince) I should say that choosing Prince as a moderator on “Education” board was NOT fully an objective decision, but, on the contrary, biased decision based on friendship, blood ties, respect (i don’t know, you name it…).



What I want from “Education” board is to have all of my questions be answered. I know for sure that WASP visits this forum two times/day, or maybe more, and I know that he can help a lot these people (it’s obvious that he’s pretty smart guy) who want his help. I guess, many of you think he can help people without being a moderator, but I think that motivation he will be influenced by while being a moderator will make him responsible for helping people and will motivate him to do his job better. I will be sure if I have questions about education/colleges/scholarships I will NOT wait for someone’s random posted answer and I’m sure that WASP will help me with this ‘cuz that will be his job (that’s what I call moderator’s job).



What I’m asking you (Administrator and Members of forum’s council) is not to have a prejudiced opinion towards the candidates and make decision based on it, but to analyze and take into consideration opinions of forum users and fairly chose the right candidate (one who will visit forum everyday and has a good knowledge of the subject).

there was a study where they compared individuals who succeeded in reaching the top of their companies and those who's career got "derailed" early on - all the things being the same for two groups at the entry points; two of 5 or 6 qualities responsible for "derailment" were - insensitivity to others and being overly ambitious:)

My knowledge about the power laws is quite liberal, but the fact that this saying exists does not, by no means suggest it is applicable to vast majority of situations. Out of 48 Laws of Power that I am familiar with, in this case applicable ones are the following:

Law 6. Court attention at all costs.
Law 15. Crush your enemy (in this case, just an opponent) completely.
Law 28. Enter action with boldness.
Law 45. Preach the need for change, but… (you don’t need to know the rest of it)


In fact, that saying is absolutely inappropriate given the present circumstances, and it is your inability to properly judge the situation refrained from occurring to you a more proper saying.

As for the rest of your posting, you are again misled. First and foremost, there are no emotions involved online, thus there was no way you could detect the level of my ambitions. Besides, "overly ambitions" is another way of saying "very motivated." That study is specifically (if it exists) done for unmotivated losers, so that they can feel better about themselves thinking it is okay to be in such a depressing state of mind. Secondly, did it not occur to you that there so many career possibilites in any given field, and every single one of them requires special skills, including soft skills. I am not trying to offend you, but I would like to leave you with a saying that I know: "Don't say, unless you know how to properly say it. Otherwise it will make you look foolish." I only can say, that WASP did answer several of my questions concerning the edu and career opportunites, which helped me to make a decision. He is good at research.Although that organization Uzbek students Association does not exist, he and some others were the one who tried to unite Uzbek students. Moderator should not only control who is behaving good or bad, but also should have a knowledge of what he/she is controling.
p.s I think forum user's vote should also be considered.
