Let's list "ugly" facts present in Uzbekistan here.
Ochiqdan-ochiq gaplashaylik. Kto chto znaet?
- Tashkent city propiska $800, TashObl propiska (which has to go through "their own" commission) $200-300
- Karimov says "we raised salaries" , next day he increases all other prices (buhanka, bus/metro fare)
- Heads of SNB and MVD are the only people who are there since 1991 (as well as Karimov)
- MVD is the most recruiting ministry in Uzbekistan (recruiting anybody who has tashkent city/oblast propiska and served in the military, high school diploma is enough)
- There is no single person in Uzbekistan (state entities) who has been hired via simple resume/interview process (hammasi tanish bilish). Those ministries do not even have decent recruiting process (for crying out loud...).
- Kichik va o'rta biznes degan tushuncha bor. lekin hakikatda O'zbekistonda judayam kichkina biznes (semichkachilar va bozorlar, ippodrom, chorsu) ili judayam katta biznes (tog-kon, himiya industriyalarida 2-3 tadan holos) bor.
- Privatizatsiya i Mulkdorlar sinfi degan tushuncha bor. Lekin O'zbekistonda biror bir odam mana shu "turistik" meniki deyishini eslay olmayman.
- Amerikada yangi toyotta camry ili honda accord $13,000-14,000 turadi, O'zbekistonda "Lacetti"ni shuncha narhga osa bo'ladi.
- Oyiga 30,000-40,000 som olib yashayotgan tanishlarimni hozir sanashni boshlasam, ertaga ertalab tugataman.
