If you're looking for language courses, Beijing Languages and Culture University is considered as one of the best for a number of reasons including the quality of teaching and its location. Check this out the university site for details (for some weird reason this forum didn't let me put in the URL, admin?)

If anyone is in Beijing and want to meet up this summer or just share experience reply. :multi:

One of my friends used to study in China and tell you the truth she had a blast in there. I know it's hard to believe, but she really enjoyed her school and life in general. She had a bad culture shock after coming back to Uzbekistan(I was kindda surprised, coz I've never taken China too seriously).

As far as I know, you can do both: study either in Chinese or in English. It depends on your program...

Keetaec, I might visit China next year...Are there a lot of uzbeks in there?

Salom!
To study Chinese in China you have to do a couple of things, including:
1. Find a course, preferably at a University. In China there are bizillion unversities that teach chinese on a side - this is how they make money from foreigners. There are other course taught by private companies, many are American ;). I recommend BLCU, they've got experience and location.
Sorry, I couldn't put the necessary links: this forum isn't letting me! so just go to BLCU yourself and check it out.

2. Contact them, get a letter and go to the embassy.
3. Pack your bags and move it!

Following Illusion's questions, I don't know if there are a lot of uzbeks in Beijing: I've never been to China :fade: , but I don't think it really matters much... I hope to make it there this summer for 2 months, since I've been studying the language for 3 academic years and I can't wait to have a blast just like your friend (there's 84.5% likelyhood it'll happen).

Money matters: courses cost about 500-800 USD for 4-6 weeks; accomodation in dorms is charged at about 5-8 USD per day (I recommend the cheapest, because that way you can get a Japanese or Korean roomate who WILL NOT speak english and you WILL HAVE to use chinese!);
Food will cost ~1-2 USD per day, depending how hungry you are, entertainment goes at about the same rate as food: the more you do do, the more you pay pay!

Hope this helps.

LMAO! LMAO!

Xoy-xoy tinchlan jigarim! Aren't you Chinese by any chance? ;)

First of all, why are you being so aggressive?

Secondly, I'm confused, are you trying to be patriotic in here or vice versa?

Thirdly, you don't have to tell me, I know pretty much about Chinese economy and everything...Therefore, I'm planning to visit it next year.

Moreover, how dare you to say the following: "rueld by russian pigs for years?" O'zbegim, don't be prejudice! You never know what would happen to Uzbek nation, if we were not a part of the Great Russian Empire...

Regards,
illusion
