Zahiruddin Muhammad Babur (1483-1530), born prince of Fergana in Transoxiana (modern Uzbekistan and Tajikistan), was scion of the dynasty of Tamerlane, which ruled throughout eastern Iran and Central Asia. By the age of twelve, Babur had become the ruler of Samarkand, but would then lose it amidst the various conflicts for control of this region. Babur would go on to win and lose several kingdoms, gradually moving south to Afghanistan and then the Indian subcontinent. The section below gives an account of one Babur's earliest military encounters, where he was able to gain control of the city of Samarkand for a short time, before having to abandon it during a siege. Samarkand - Tashkent approx 320-335 km: It takes roughly 30 minutes by plane, 5 hours by train (electrichka), or 4 hours by car, or 6 hours by bus.

Samarkand - Bukhara approx 235 km: Visited by bus usually, takes 4-5 hours due to bad road conditions.

da krasiviy gorod, mne nravitsa ochen'... posledniy raz bil nedeli nazad. hehe mnogoe izmenilsa, nu ya bil posledniy raz do etogo proshlom godu v noyabre... Leninskaya doroga ochen' izmenilas'... ya voobshe ne uznal... parki shmarki... novie karuseli postavili :P i eshe odin park otkrili... v akvaparke vodu spustili gadi... BEK rulit do sih por... mldci vtoroy raz klassno postroili... Nasha Palov ili kak tam bilo hehe super... mne plov nravitsa samarkandskiy i lepyoshki... a SHARQ diskoteka kak Tequilla club na yunusabade =) kopiya... afrasiab ponravilsa nu tam devushek bilo mnogo do utra... koroche stoit poehat i posmotret...
