The Ministry Of Higher and Secondary Specialised Education Of The
Republic Of Uzbekistan “Umid” Foundation of the President of the Republic of
Uzbekistan to support the education of talented youth abroad announce the first students’ intake to Westminster International
University In Tashkent
The University of Westminster (United Kingdom) in collaboration with
“Umid” Foundation of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the
Ministry of Higher and Secondary Specialised Education of the Republic
of Uzbekistan have established the new Westminster International
University in Tashkent (WIUT).
In October 2002 WIUT starts undergraduate programs in the Faculties of
Business, Information Technologies, Economics and Law according to the
British high educational standards.
Westminster International University in Tashkent has a right to award
Bachelor degree of the University of Westminster (London) to students
who have successfully completed the full time course.
WIU is honored to announce the first intake of student for the lessons
2002/2003 for the following full-time courses:
1st-Year of Foundation course for further study for bachelor degree
• Education will be delivered in English.
• Only 160 students will be enrolled.
• The objective of the course is one year foundation education for
further 3 year study for Bachelor degree in Business Administration,
Information Technologies, Law and Economics.
• Applications should be at least 17 years old and have a certificate
of graduation from school.
2nd – Year for Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Business Studies
• Education will be delivered in English during 3 year period.
• Only 40 students will be enrolled.
• The objective of the course is to prepare undergraduate students in
Business Administration who are capable to achieve the highest level of
academic excellence.
• Applicants should be at least 18 years old and must accomplish 85%
rating of first year results of any university of Uzbekistan.
3rd – Year for Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Information Technologies
• Education will be delivered in English during 3 year period.
• The first year course will be held in London, on the Faculty of
Information Technologies of the University of Westminster.
• Only 12 student will be enrolled.
• The objective of the course is to prepare undergraduate students in
Information Technologies who are capable to achieve the highest level of
academic excellence.
• Applicants should be at least 18 years old and must accomplish 90%
rating of first year results of conformable university of Uzbekistan.
Applicants should enclose the followings:
• Filled application from
• Original certificate of secondary education (for applicants to the
foundation Course)
• Transcript of academic performance from university (for applicants to
2nd year Bachelor Degree)
• Passport and its photocopy
• Passport size photographs (4x6) – 8 pcs
• Documentations of appropriate academic and other achievements (if
applicable)
• Military recruit registration card (for male applicants)

Submission of documents by applicants starts 25th of June till 5th of
July 2002
Consultancy for applicants starts 25th of June til 5th July 2002
Testing of applicants from 10th till 12 th July 2002
Announcement of the testing results 14th – 15th July 2002
