Hi all,

I will be in Geneva for a week with work. I was wondering if anyone can recommend fun places to go to in the evening - funky bars with live music, for example. I don't suppose there are any Uzbek restaurants in Geneva, are there?

Thanks in advance,
CD

another good alternative skiing in the Alps..

Hello,

As you said that one of your friend is studying in Geneva, could please give me his contact info.
I am going to UN Geneva office to have internship. I need to find some cheap place and consult with him about daily life in Geneva.

Thanks in advance.

Geneva is one of the most boring places on Earth, sure, it has European charm, but it’s boring and do your shopping on business days – stores do not work on weekends. Also, learn at least couple of simple phrases in French – they completely ignore English-speaking folks. Be ready for everything super expensive – a real simple lunch in a real simple care will cost you at least 20 franks, dinner – 30.

On a brighter end – Liman is gorgeous, take some time and get on a boat trip. If you are staying in a hotel, check with the hotel – they usually provide a one-day pass for public transport that you can take to get to Liman. Taxi is horribly expensive, never take any. Anyway, there is not much fun in Geneva, it’s sterile.
