Hello Forumistes
Can any one explain to me
1) why almost all the Central Asia countries had there capitals almost in the borders
ex:
Tachkent in the border with Kazakhstan
Bishkek almost in the border with Kazakhstan
Ashkabat almost in the border with Iran
Of course Almaata has been changed to astana (in the centre)
2) Is there any plant to remove the capital from the border to the centre
3) Via which country most of the good transit before reaching Uzbekistan
http://www.advantour.com/uzbekistan/information/map.htm
Thanks in advance

2) it is not that easy just to remove the capital to some other place, cos it's an administrative centre, it is historically developed center (after Samarqand)
3) depends from which country you're coming from and by what means (plain, car, train)

2- I know it is not easy to remove any capital to an other city, but Possible :) but many countries did it, Kazakhistan, Turkey, Brasil and many others
3- When i say "Goods" I mean heavy machinery, usualy tranport by ships to the capian sea, (cheaper way of transport)
Any ideas why buit first on the border?

even if it is possible it isn't worth - too many expenses. even if some other countries did so it doesn't mean that Uzbekistan should repeat their actions, and what's wrong with the thing that tash is almoast on a border? it doesn't bother anyone.

I don't know why Uzbek capital was established on a border. if you're that interested in that you make a search in Uzbek history.

The reason kazakhstan moved it is capital to north was a demographic factor. 51% of Kazakhstan population is Russians who mostly live in northern part of kazakhstan, while almost all Kazakhs and non- kazakhs live in the south and Center. And maybe in next 20 years Northern part of the country , where Russians mostly dominated could ask to join Russian Federation, and could cause some geopolitical problems. And then they had to move the capital to the north, to prevent this kinda actions. Because no country woud give its capital to another country. Thats all about Astana :) .
