Yo,
I hope you guys are enjoying the weekend. To make the long story short, I have a friend in Uzbekistan who really wants to study in Germany. He found a university but he's uncertain about some things. That's why I'll go ahead and ask y'all(who live in Germany) those questions on his behalf.
I really hope you will hepl this guy out, cause he is totally desperate.:)
1. The cost of living. How much will spend a regular student per month(including rent, food etc.)
2. Is it possible to work there? How easy it's to get a job? And if it's not secret what's the average rate per hour(please be more specific)? What about internship?
3. The name of his university is University of Nueremberg(2 hours away from Munich, Bayern). Is it a good school for business majors? Are there some rankings of german universities online, cause he probably couldn't find one.
Thank you so much!;)

1. Yashaydigan shahriga bog'liq, albatta:
Turar joy: 100-250 €, o'rtacha 160 €;
Med-Straxovka: 56 €
Yeyish-ichish: O'rtacha 150-160 €, bu har bir kishini qay darajada tejamliligiga bog'liq bo'lsa kerak
2. Ishlash mumkin albatta:
- har bir chet ellik talabaga Germaniyada bir yilda 90 kun ishlashga ruxsat bor (asosan kanikul vaqtlari tushuniladi).
Soatiga 5-9 €dan ishlash mumkin. O'rtacha 6-7 €dan ishlash mumkin.
Internship uchun o'zi qarab ko'rishi kerak, hozir qiyin bo'lib qolgan topish. Sohasi bo'yicha, o'qiydigan joyiga qarab izlashi kerak.
3. Neurnberg Universitetida ko'p o'zbeklar o'qishgan (hali ham bo'lsa kerak bir-ikkita). Vaqtida UMIDchi talabalar ham o'qishgandi. Yaxshi bo'lishi kerak, Ranking bo'yicha nechanchi o'rindaligini qarab ko'rish kerak, aniq bir narsa deyolmayman.

BA is a new educational standard here, but if he is just about to begin with his studies in Germany, I wouldn't advise to do BA, but rather a more common for Germany "Diplom-Studiengang". It is far more known and better percieved than these "american BA and MA/MS etc., of course if his career plans
include Germany. In my case - we had already BA from Tashkent and could logically proceed with Master here. Actually Erlangen-Uni-Nuernberg is really good, and I was thinking about Master there - but they can only offer MA in International Business. Again Diplom-Studiengang is a very conservative, complicated and full-detailed german old programm and they are getting to switch to Bachelor and Master, but when it comes to german employers - they are all familiar with these Diploms (Kaufmann, Bankkaufmann, Volkswirt, Betriebswirt etc), and eventually don't trust that much american standards applied here, such Master degrees and so on, because it's new and still on probation.

I don't understand the stupid german educational system. Some universities offer Masters program which is equivalent to american/english MA or MBA, but others have both(undergarduate/masters) in one. And it takes less than what a student in US can usually spend for BBA and MBA, but still germans claim their Uni's better than US Unis, which seems to me weird.

sure but they claim they traditional unis. As for the BA and Masters -
Germany's system had a very very huge drawback - it was (for example in Business Administration - in my last Uni) only 40% of all graduates who get at the end their Diplom the rest - fail, and another drawback - it takes too much time to graduate with Diplom.
Therefore there was an obvious need for changes in educational system.
Personally, I don't think these two systems can be compared (of course i mean US-BBA and Masters with German Diplomstudiengang), but the same programs offered in Germany are completely different from american.
And still, I suppose, with an exception of 5-6 universities, these new Bachelor and Master programs cannot stand with old Diplomstudiengang.

just curious which university have you finished and was it Diplom odda Masters?
When it comes to mannheim, if somebody has money to pay for its MBA then it is better to study in the UK or in the US where you can get better value for your money.

that's right - absolutely agreed. Germany is good for those, who wish to study
in german Diplomstudiengang (and Mannheim ist the best choice), and for those who don't want to pay money.
