Venice is a good idea, but I personnaly did not like Paris. Did not "smell" the spirit of love in the air. Only arrogance of French people, rushing somewhere and not willing to speak English :)) IMHO
I adore England, especially London. But other part of Europe I am residing in now is also good. :D

I've been to Paris probably 10 or 11 times, and it's just beautiful! However, it's also a very liberal city. Just to let you know, you will see gays openly embracing each other and girls dressed very scantily. But, the city is fantastic and very beautiful at night (though, at this time, I would highly suggest not venturing out into the suburbs..).

I have been very blessed to have traveled to many countries: Canada, England, Wales, Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium, France, Poland, Russia, and South Africa.
My goal is to visit every continent before I die! I still have Asia, Australia, South America, and Antarctica to go. However, I may be able to visit Tokyo in the next year or so because I have a good friend who may be attending a university there.
My parents just returned from a trip to Croatia, and I just saw their photographs this afternoon. I was quite surprised: I never realized how beautiful the country is!
My list of countries to visit is ambitious, I'm afraid: Uzbekistan (!!), Madagascar, Nepal, Tanzania, China, India, Croatia, Japan, Brazil, Morocco, Israel, Sweden, Iran, New Zealand, and of course, Antarctica.
There is one valuable lesson I've learned from traveling: there are many misconceptions that people have of other countries. I was guilty of that myself at one time! I've had people say to me, "Well, as an American, you must hate Muslims, right?" I was shocked! What we see on TV and read in newspapers and on websites is very much propaganda.
Now, I never accept anything as fact unless 1) I see with my own eyes, or 2) the source has been logically and systematically identified. So much about what we accept as fact is, in fact, not fact at all. Many clever people exist in the world today, and those people can make some very convincing arguments about whatever it is they want you to believe. I've learned to be much less gullible.
Personally, I think traveling is what makes us very rich as human beings. We learn to accept that "different" doesn't necessarily mean "better" or "worse." I've seen some social and practical aspects of culture (in other countries) that I prefer over my own. And I've learned to appreciate more of what I do have. Either way, the experience is highly enriching.

Italy is one of the best destinations for travellers. Italy satisfies every taste; i.e. if you like shopping - go to Milan, if you wanna see historical places - visit Rome, for romantic trip I would recommend - Venice, for traveller who prefers relaxing in nature - Florence is the best place. Even Ski resort located in the Alps on Italy's northern border would make any winter holidays unforgettable!

the goverment is crap. Cos they don't allow muslim women to wear a hijaab at schools and most muslim graduates who wear a hijaab can't find jobs. None wants to employ them unless they take the hijaab off. Some sisters are now trying to set up education centers and restaraunts, job-centers where muslim women can work.
France must be great touristic city though. Ppl drive to Paris everyweek from where I live just to have a good rest.

infolife, go get life, dear! what on earth do you know about French people? You said "I've never been to France", and say it is a racist country. I'm sorry, but France is one of the widest area in Europe where integration is going on quite smoothly. Be it Muslim - Non-Muslim, White - Black, Rich - Poor relationship, France is a great place where those people are bearing each other, getting known each others lives. The politics are perfectly fine, I respect their laws of land, secular ruling, government is fairly OK too. I admit, Sarkozy is a conservative-racist, hardliner, but wait, he doesn't make whole the government of France. See, France is the country who helps Arab immigrants to earn money, to come to Europe and enjoy the life, France is one of the countries who strongly maintains the democracy in Europe as well as the World. France is the country democratically established, and run by elected representatives. People are cool in there. I can personally, tell you I met thousands of French people, can't complain about anyone of them. They are mostly friendly, intelligent, talkative, easy going people. Most of all, they are generally quite broadminded, because they are not taught obligatory religious-preaches at schools, or their government doesn't manipulate the public by state run media, their president is not a pri** as some of other Giant States. IMHO, France is a must visit country if one have enough resource.

I do agree, Jerusalem, the Palestinian Authority is a must visit place too, the difficulty is you have to change your passport-name to a Jewish one: (e.g. Miss Infolife Cohen). Though, you can go to Israel easily, just pop in Thomas Cook.

Guardian, respects brother, sorry but I didn't want to sound like french are horrible for I'm sure they're not! That's why I said I know very little about them (read the first post again)n my friends who live there say some are very nice and some are very racist. But then, it's the case whevere you go, everywhere you get some good people and some bad ones!
And yes, french goverment allows people all over the world to immigrate to french yet says religion should be practised seperately from public affairs and don't allow mulsim women to practise their religion at work or at school??? Do you find this being fair on their behalf?
yes, Sarkozy doesn't make the whole goverment, bu he got the support of that goverment to pass the law about not wearing the hijab???
I'm very glad you happened to meet nice french people. Nice people keep meeting nice people.Keep up man:)
I do think France is a must country as well.

Camellia, am nt joking about PALESTINE at all, i sooo want to go,probably next summer, do u wanna come:P
Why would I have to change my passport? I dunno the details yet, but the uni is organizing the charity trip that I wanna come along with, there wasn't anything about changing the passport though:rolleyes:
What else do you know about traveling to Palestine, can u PM me plz.
I do agree, Jerusalem, the Palestinian Authority is a must visit place too, the difficulty is you have to change your passport-name to a Jewish one: (e.g. Miss Infolife Cohen). Though, you can go to Israel easily, just pop in Thomas Cook.

infolife, but afaik you cannot travel to those arab states that do not acknowledge "israel" as a state... yet i'm not sure at the moment. maybe Aziz knows
That's what the arab media tells you.
In reality, jews and other people that have been to Israel DO TRAVEL to Arab countries. There's a well known trick and procedure that Jewish government so gratefully implemented not long after the "common arab solidarity" towards the Israel.
Google "Israeli Stamp Stigma" for more info.

Shveycariyaning bir chegara shahrida qisqa vaqt bo'lganimni hisoblamasam, siz sanab o'tgan dabvlatlarda bo'lishga men ham hali ulgurmadim. Xudo hohlasa, biror kuni :)
Gareeb do'stim, sizga Germaniyani ham ziyorat qilishni tavsiya etaman:
- Stuttgart shahridan janub tarafda Tuebingen degan kichkina shahar bor, ajoyib, o'ziga yarasha ko'rkam shahar.
- Koeln shahridan 100 chaqirimcha janubiy-g'arb tarafda, Belgiya chegarasida Monschau (http://www.monschau.de/tourist-information/) degan shaharcha bor, ko'rishga arziydigan, 19-asr arxitekturasi saqlanib qolgan kichkina shaharcha.
Umuman sanasa ko'p tavsiya qiladigan joylar :)
