Assalamu alaykum
I decided to open this thread cos I was quite impressed by this speech and thought it would be useful for everyone here. Well, I know some of you are quite religious and know this stuff already, pls take into consideration that I’m only writing down from my notes. Honestly I haven’t read Qur’an or haven’t done any research or anything. These info is the notes I took from alima classes yesterday. Feel free to correct and add info. I’m doin my best keep it short, it’s quite educational though. Thankx,Wassalam

The question comes why should we learn about prophets??

To fulfil duties:relate and convey to the stories that will contemplate and reflect
They are those who are guided by Allah swt, to follow them, cos they should be role-models for us
To love them, we have to learn details of their lives to love them moreAllah swt has created the earth and heavens. He has created the pen and wrote down the events or taqdeers of humanity that will happen till the Day of Judgement. Allah swt has created the reesq of everyone 50000 years before He created Adam as. He created the angels from light and giins from fire and the first prophet ADAM from dirt. The Qur’an gives different terms to describe the material used for ADAM. The terms mentioned in Qur’an are: sticky, smelly soil, sounding clay, smooth mud and etc.Allah swt picked up the soil from all over the world:black soil,gray soil,brown soild from mounatains and white soil so that ADAM’s children came up in different colors and behaviours. He mixed the soil with water so it became sticky. He left it to dry, it was smelly. When Adam as was almost dry Shaytaan saw it and came to touch. Iblis knocked Adam as, he made a noise and Shaytaan said:’This creature is weak, if he is supposed to obey YOU, Oh Allah, I’ll do everything I can to mislead Him’. Adam as was not give the ruh-soul yet, he was hollow inside therefore Shaytaan said he was weak. Adam as was created with hands of Allah swt therefore sur’a from Qur’an says:Human-being is sacred creature.Every muslim sacred in the eyes of Allah swt more than a KABA. Adam as was created on his image-Qur’an says. What does it really mean? It means that Adam as didn’t go through the images we do, aging didn’t apply to him. He lived 1000 years and he had the same image all his life. Qur’an approves and disapproves the theory of evolution. Qur’an disapproves that Adam was created from a single cell, cos body without ruh-soul is part of the earth. when soul leaves it compasses to its origin. The secret of ruh-soul belongs only to Allah swt and the ruh what makes us alive in this world. Adam sneezed when soul was placed in him. He sneezed and said ‘Alhamdilullah’
Allah swt said: ‘Yarhamakullah’.
The first command of Allah was ‘Deliver salaam to my angels’
Adam went to angels and said ‘Assalamu alaykum-Peace be upon you’
Angels replied ‘Waalaykum salaam’
Allah swt created Hava from Adam’s most bending weak part. Therefore the sura from Qur’an says: ‘Take care of your women oh muslim men’.
Allah swt said to His angels ‘I’ll place Adam on earth’
Angels answered: ‘You’ll place Adam on earth to cause corruption and blood’
Allah swt: ‘I know what you will not’
Allah was preparing Adam. Adam as was not nabiy in Jannat. He knew Shaytaan is his enemy but He didn’t have any experience with him yet. What Shaytaan said to make him eat the fruits of that tree in Jannat was ‘If you have this fruit, you’ll live forever and be more powerful than your Lord’. It was waswasa of nafs led Adam eat the fruit. Therefore the sur’a from Qur’an says: ‘Human-being follow Shaytaan because of the waswasa and nafs inside them and ’. Adam as was placed on earth. When Allah swt took Adam as to introduce him to His other messengers Adam really liked Dawud as and asked his age. Allah swt said: ‘He is 60’ Adam said: ‘Give 40 years of my life to Dawud’. Adam as was supposed to live 1000 years. When He was 960 Azrail as came down on earth and asked him: ‘Oh, Adam are u ready to die?’ Adam forgot about his promise and asked: ‘Was I not supposed to live 1000 years?I have 40more years’ Azrail as answere; ‘Oh yes you are indeed,but don’t you remember you’ve given 40 years of your live to your son Dawud’ Adam said ‘No’ Therefore the sur’a from Qur’an says: ‘The human-beings forget what We(Allah swt) command them to do and forget that they are placed on earth for a certain time period to apply the law of Allah swt and establish the earth according to Allah swt ’

Adam lived 1000 years, Allah swt gave Him 40 more years he had given to Dawud as.This is the end of Adam's story, add if u know more.
Ps: The next prophet is Idris as. Please post any info you know about Idris as. If not third one is Nuh as. Please, don’t put links or looooooooooong articles. Try to keep your post simple and short. Shukran, wassalaam

Prophet Idris (Enoch)

Allah has praised Idris, describing him as being a prophet and truthful: Mention in the Holy Book (Quran) Idris (Enoch). Verily! He was a man of truth (and) a prophet. We raised him to a high station. (19:56-57 Quran).

Idris was born and raised in Babylon following the teachings and religion of Prophet Adam (pbuh) and his son Seth (pbuh). Idris was the 5th generation of the Prophet Adam. He called the people back to his forefathers religion, but only a few listened to him, while the majority turned away.

Prophet Idris and his followers left Babylon for Egypt. There he carried on his mission, calling people to what is just and fair, teaching them certain prayers and instructing them to fast on certain days and to give a portion of their wealth to the poor.

He was the first of the Children of Adam to be given prophethood after Adam and Seth (peace upon them). It is reported that he was the 1st to invent the basic form of writing. Some of his wise sayings are:

Happy is he who looks at his own deeds and appoints them as pleaders to his Lord

None can show better gratitude for Allah's favors than he who shares them with others. Do not envy people for what they have as they will only enjoy it for a short while. He who indulges in excess will not benefit from it. The real joy of life is to have wisdom.

DHUL KIFL

Allah the Almighty declared : Remember Ishmael and Idris and Dhul Kifl, all were from among those who observe patience. (21:85-86 Quran).

Allah directed: Remember Our slaves, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob (all) owners of strength (in worshipping Us) and also of religious understanding. Verily, We did choose them by granting them (a good thing ) the remembrance of the home (in the Hereafter and they used to make the people remember it and also they used to invite the people to obey Allah and to do good deeds for the Hereafter). And they are in Our Sight, verily of the chosen and the best! Remember Ishmael, Elisha, and Dhul Kifl all are among the best. (38:45-48 Quran).

Ibn Jarir narrated that he was not a prophet but he was a righteous man. He supported his people to suffice their needs and administrated justice among them. That is why he was called Dhul Kifl. (means possessor of, or giving, a double requital or portion)

Dwellers of Ar-Rass

Allah Almighty revealed: Noah's people, when they denied the Messengers We drowned them, and We made them as a sign for mankind. We have prepared a painful torment for the Zalimeen (polytheists and wrongdoers) Also Ad and Thamud and the dwellers of Ar Rass and many generations in between. For each of them We put forward examples (as proofs and lessons etc), and each of them We brought to utter ruin (because of their disbelief and evil deeds). (25:37-39 Quran)

Allah the Exalted revealed: Denied before them (these pagans of Mecca who denied you, O Muhammad) the people of Noah and the dwellers of Ar Rass, and Thamud and Ad and Pharaoh, and the brethren of Lot, and the dewellers of the Wood, and the people of Tubba, everyone of them denied their Messengers so My Threat took effect. (50:12-14 Quran).

These verses indicate that the dwellers of Ar Rass were destroyed as they were the other people who refused to believe in the prophets of Allah

Ibn jarir stated that the dwellers of Ar Rass were the people of one of Thamud's villages. Allah sent a prophet to them called Huzlah Ibn Safwan. They denied and killed him, so Allah destroyed them.

Abu Bakr Muhammad Ibn Al Hassan narrated: "The dwellers of AR Rass had a well sufficing them and their land. They also had a just and good-hearted king. When he died, they were much grieved for him. After four days Satan took his form and said: "I was not deed, but I kept absent from you to see your reaction." They were very joyful. He commanded them to set up a curtain between him and them and told them that he would never die. A great number of them believed him and were fascinated with and worshiped him. Then Allah sent them a prophet telling them that it was only Satan who was addressing them from behind the curtain. He forbade them to worship him and commanded them to worship only Allah and no partner with Him. In spite of that, they killed their prophet and threw his body into a well. Therefore Allah destroyed them and their homes."

Yasin People

All that we know about these people is what Allah Almighty has told us in the Glorious Quran: Put forward to them a similitude the (story of ) the dwellers of the town, (it is said that the town was Antioch, Antakiya), when there came Messengers to them. When We sent them two Messengers, they belied them both, so We reinforced them with a third and they said: "Verily! We have been sent to you as Messengers." They (people of the town) said: "You are only human beings like ourselves and the Most Beneficent (Allah) has revealed nothing, you are only telling lies." The Messengers said: "Our Lord knows that we have been sent as Messengers to you, our duty is only to convey plainly (the Message)." The people said: "For us we see an evil omen from you, if you cease not we will surely stone you and a painful torment will touch you from us." The Messengers said: "Your evil omens be with you! (Do you call it "evil omen") because you are admonished? Nay but you are a people Musrifun (transgressing all bounds by committing all kinds of great sins, and by disobeying Allah)." And there came running from the farthest part of the town, a man saying: "O my people! Obey the Messengers obey those who ask no wagers of you (for themselves) and who are rightly guided. Why should I not worship Him (Allah Alone) Who has created me and to Whom you shall be returned. Shall I take besides Him aliah (gods) if the Most Beneficent (Allah) intends me any harm, their intercession will be of no use whatsoever, nor can they save me? Then verily, I should be in plain error. Verily! I have believed in your Lord, so listen to me!" It was said (to him when the disbelievers killed him): "Enter Paradise." He said: "Would that my people knew! That my Lord (Allah) has forgive me, and made me of the honored ones!" We sent not against his people after him a host from heaven nor do We send (such a thing). IT was but one shout and lo! They (all) were silent (dead destroyed). Alas for mankind! There never came a Messenger to them but they used to mock at him. Do they not see how many of the generations We have destroyed before them? Verily, they will not return to them. ( 36:13-31 Quran).

U ZOTNING BIRODARLARIDAN BO‘LAYLIK


Abu Hurayradan, roziyallohu anhu, rivoyat qilinadi:
«Rasululloh qabristonga keldilar va:
— Mo‘minlar qavmida yashovchilarga assalomu alaykum! Biz ham, inshaalloh, sizlarga borib qo‘shilguvchilarmiz, deydigan birodarlarimizni ko‘rishni orzu qilardim, - dedilar. Shunda sahobalar:
— Biz sizning birodarlaringiz emasmizmi, yo Rasululloh? —deyishdi. Janobi Rasululloh:
— Sizlar mening sahobalarimsizlar, birodarlarimiz esa, hali kelganlaricha yo‘q, — dedilar, Sahobalar:
— Hali kelmagan ummatingizni qanday taniysiz, yo Rasululloh? — deb so‘rashdi. Rasululloh:
— Axir bir kishi o‘zining peshonasi va oyog‘i oq otlarini boshqa bir to‘da qop-qora otlar ichidan taniyolmaydimi? — dedilar. Sahobalar:
— Tanib oladi, yo Rasululloh, —deyishdi. Janobi Rasululloh:
— Ular qiyomatda dunyodagi tahoratlari sababidan peshonalari va oyoqlari nurli bo‘lgan holda keladilar. Men ulardan oldin havzi Kavsarga borgan bo‘laman. Ogoh bo‘linglar, bir qancha kishilar hovuzimdan adashgan tuyani haydagandek haydaladilar. Men ularga, bu yoqqa kelinglar, deb nido qilaman. Menga aytiladiki, ular sizdan so‘ng dinni o‘zgartirishgan. Shunda men: «Uzoq bo‘linglar, uzoq bo‘linglar», deyman.

KALIT VA TISH


Vahb ibn Munabbahga aytildi: «Jannatning kaliti «La ilaha illalloh» emasmi?
U kishi aytdilar: «Xuddi shunday, lekin har bir kalitning tishlari bo‘ladi. Kim jannat eshigiga o‘sha tishlar ila kelsa, eshik unga ochiladi. Kim jannat eshigiga o‘sha tishlar ila kelmasa, jannat unga ochilmaydi».

HIKMATLI KALIMALAR


Soib ibn al-Musayyabdan:
«Umar ibn Hattob odamlarga o‘n sakkizta serhikmat kalimalarni qoldirganlar».
Aytdilar:
— Biror kishini biror ishda senga itoat qilishda Allohga gunohkor bo‘lgani uchun jazolasang, uning itoatsizligi o‘sha ishda sening Allohga itoat qilishingdek bo‘lsa, bas, uni jazolamaysan.
— Birodaringdan sen o‘ylagandek foyda kelishi uchun uning ishini eng yaxshi o‘rinlat.
— Bir musulmonning og‘zidan chiqqan so‘zni yomonga yo‘yma, sen u so‘zni yaxshilikka yo‘yish-ga harakat qil.
— Kim o‘zini tuhmat qilinadigan o‘rinda ko‘rsatsa, unga nisbatan yomon gumon qiladiganlarni malomat qilmasin.
— Kim o‘z sirini berkitsa, yaxshilik uning qo‘lidadir.
— O‘zingga sodiq do‘stlar tanla, ular panohida yashaysan, chunki ular kengchilikda ziynat, qiyinchilikda qalqondirlar.
— O‘zingga doim rost so‘zlarni ixtiyor qil, agar seni rostlik o‘ldirsa ham.
— Foydasiz narsaga urinma.
— Hali bo‘lmagan ishdan so‘rama, chunki bo‘lgan ishdan unga ortmaysan.
— Sening najotingga xayrxoh bo‘lmagan kishidan hojatingni so‘rama.
— Yolg‘on qasam ichishni yengil sanama, uning sababidan Alloh seni halok qilur.
— Fojirlar ila hamsuhbat bo‘lma, ularning fujurlaridan o‘rganasan.
— Dushmaningdan uzoq bo‘l.
— Do‘stingdan ehtiyot bo‘l, ishonchlisi mustasno. Allohdan
qo‘rqqangina ishonchli bo‘lur.
— Qabrlar oldida odob bilan tur.
— Itoat vaqtida o‘zingni xor tut.
— Gunoh oldida najot arqonini mahkam ushla.
— Ishingda Allohdan qo‘rqqanlar ila maslahatlash. Zero, Alloh: «Allohdan olim bandalari qo‘rqadi» (Fotir, 28, mazmuni), deb marhamat qilgan».

SHUKRNI BERKITMOQ UNI INKOR ETMOQDIR


Bir ayol erining olijanob xulqlarini onasi oldida sifatlab, shunday dedi:
— Ey onajon, kim maqtov libosini yozsa, yaxshi ishni ado etibdi. Shukrni berkitgan kishi oshkora qilish vojib bo‘lgan haqiqatni yashirib, kufroni ne’matga kiribdi.
Onasi qiziga:
— Ey qizginam, maqtovni qoyillatibsan, uning mukofotini anglabsan, endi yomonlashga aslo o‘rin berma. Men senda maqtashni ham, yomonlashni ham faqat sinab ko‘rganingdan keyingina aytadigan aqlni ko‘rdim, — dedi.
Qiz:
— Ey onajon, to sinamagunimcha maqtamadim, shuningdek, bilmagunimcha sifatlamadim, — dedi.

Umar ibn Hattob o‘g‘illari Abdullohga (har ikkalasidan ham Alloh rozi bo‘lsin) yozgan ekanlar: «Ey o‘g‘ilcham, Allohdan qo‘rqqin. Zero, kim Allohdan qo‘rqsa, Alloh uni saqlaydi. Unga kim tavakkal qilsa, Alloh kifoya qiladi, kim Unga shukr aytsa, Alloh unga ne’matni ziyoda qiladi. Taqvo sening ko‘z qorachig‘ing, qalbing jilosi bo‘lsin. Shuni yaxshi bilginki, kim Alloh huzuridan savob umid qilmasa, unga ajr ham yo‘qdir. Kimda shafqat bo‘lmasa, unda mol-dunyo bo‘lmas, xulqi yo‘qda tirishqoqlik (yangilik) bo‘lmas.
Hazrati Umar, roziyallohu anhu, aytadilar:
— To kishida zaiflikdan bo‘lmagan muloyimlik, ko‘pollikdan bo‘lmagan kuch-qudrat topilmasa, bu ish (boshliq bo‘lish) o‘z samarasini bermaydi.

GUNOHKORNING XOTIRJAMLIGI

Avn ibn Abdulloh odamlarga nasihat qilib der ekanlar:
«Bizdan ham pok bo‘lgan zotlar, albatta, Allohdan qo‘rqadilar. Bizlar esa, bizga ega bo‘lmagan kishidan qo‘rqamiz. Pok bo‘lgan zotlar Allohdan qo‘rqishadi-yu, gunohkor qanday qilib xotirjam yuradi. Pok zotlar ilmi, fazilati tufayli Allohdan qo‘rqadi, gunohkor esa aqli kamligidan xotirjam yuradi».

JANNAT AHLLARI

Ibn Abbosdan, roziyallohu anhu, aytdilar; «Bir kuni Rasululloh, sollallohu alayhi va sallam, chiqib dedilar:
— Menga barcha ummatlar ko‘rsatildi. Bir payg‘ambar bir kishi bilan, yana bir payg‘ambar ikki kishi bilan, yana bir pay-g‘ambar bir to‘p kishilar bilan, yana bir payg‘ambar yolg‘iz o‘zi, hech bir hamrohi yo‘q holda o‘tdilar. So‘ng juda ko‘p olomonni ko‘rdim, ular ko‘pligidan uzoq-uzoq ufqlarni ham to‘sganlar, umid qildimki, shular mening ummatim bo‘lsalar. Shunda: bular Muso, alayhissalom, qavmlari bilan kelyaptilar, deyildi.
So‘ng menga, qaragin, deyildi. Qarasam, uzoqdan qoralikni ko‘rdim. Ular juda ko‘p bo‘lib, ko‘pligidan ufqni ham to‘sib qo‘yishgan edi. Keyin menga yana aytildi: “Hov, anavilarga, hov anavilarga kara!” Ko‘rsam, son-sanoqsiz insonlar, ular shuncha ko‘pki, yeru osmonni to‘ldirib yubordilar. Shunda menga: «Bular sening ummating», deyildi.
Bularning oldilarida yetmish ming nafar jannatga hisob-kitobsiz kiradiganlar kelmoqda. Ular hodisalardan shumlanmaganlar, folbinu sexrgarlarga bormaganlar, o‘zlarini o‘tda kuydirib davolamaganlar, faqat o‘z Robbisiga tavakkul qilgan kishilardir, — deyildi.
Shunda Ukkosha ibn Mixsan turib:
— Yo Rasululloh, duo qiling. Alloh meni shulardan qilsin, — dedi. Rasululloh sollallohu alayhi va sallam:
— Ey Alloh, buni o‘shalardan biri qilgin, - deb duo qildilar.
Shundan so‘ng boshqa odam turib:
— Allohga duo qiling, meni ham o‘shalardan qilsin, — dedi. Payg‘ambarimiz, alayhissalom:
— Bunga Ukkosha sendan oldin keldi,— dedilar».
