Maybe you will need AVIR Visa.
When I wen to Kazakstan, they did not ask me. But in case, it is better to take AVIR.

Uzbekistan citizens do not need a visa to visit Kazakhstan. You can even travel 5 days without any registration. There is no max or min days to travel without a visa.

call Kazakh embassy.
How can you give an information without any legal proof? A person needs to travel and posted a question hoping to get some legitimate answers not jokes.

NO Visa required for citizens of Uzbekistan to travel Kazahstan, it is fact, same thing to Russia too. U must have ur passport of course register in local police departments passport/visa section, if you want to stay more then 5 days, (stanford is right). But Kyrgyzstan, Uzbek citizens must have visa to travel to Kyrgyzstan, only residents of Uzbekistan in Ferghana, Andijan, Namagnan can go to southern part of Kyrgyzstan (Osh, Jalal-abad, Batken) without visa for 6 days ( was in 2001, now i dont know). Means only people whoi live near border of KG and UZB can travel with no visa in passport. If u from Tashkent and want go to Osh or Bishkek, yes go to Kyrgyz Embassy.
ps.
all the visa, paper work, border was idea of Uzb government.

Sherbek, you still don't visa to go to Kazakhstan. I, myself, flew to US through Kazakhstan. Had spent a wonderful week in Almaty. But, you will surely be asked a valid passport along with AVIR .
Good luck!
I think we all know in Central Asia there are no rules for visas. It all depends what the border police decide to do.

I flew from Chicago to Almaty three weeks ago for a short three-day trip. At the POE I filled out two "statement-of-purpose documents", and gave it to the immigration officer. She said that that I don't have to register with the local police authorities ('cuz I came there for three days) and need to present a copy of that small document at the passport check on my way back. I did have NO Kazakh visa. BUt she did go through my passport to check for AVIR visa.
That was my expirience. Hope that hepled.
