AEMC Calls for Compelling Israel to Reveal Nuclear Sites (http://www.forum.uz/)
CAIRO, December 21, 2005 (WAFA)-Arab Environment Ministerial Council (AEMC) called on international community to compel Israel to subdue its nuclear sites for International Energy Agency monitoring.
In its 17th session held in Cairo, the Council requested the Arab Atom Committee to study a sample of a nuclear event in a reactor similar to that of the Israeli Dimona reactor and to oblige Israel to reveal the sites where it buries the nuclear remains.
The Council warned of Israeli nuclear activities and their dangerous radiation on the neighbouring countries and the Occupied Arab Territories.
Earlier, United Nation Development Program UNDP warned, in a memorandum, against the danger of the nuclear radiation issuing from “Dimona” located in the Negev desert.
The memorandum stated that several studies and researches conducted in different centers confirmed that there has been a nuclear radiation leakage from “Dimona” due to a technical problem.
