Lets say you were at internet cafe or university computer lab and you saw someone posting at forum.uz.What would you do, will you confront?

For me it depends on a person.Similar thing happened with me while I was visiting friends in Nashville.I asked one of my friends to take me to an internet cafe, but instead he took me to the Vanderbilt university lab which I was adviced to use it for free.I went there and saw somene chatting on choyhona. For about 10-15 minuts I couldn't make up my mind about what I should do,say Hi and I am an uzbek or not.And I decided not to say anything, cause I thought about opposite approach.

I'd sit by him/her making sure s/he can notice my PC screen and would visit Uzbekistan-related web-pages. :P Like centrasia.ru, fergana.ru, forum.uz, etc. No? :(

I had similar situation. One day, when I was using a Copier, a guy asked me to help him out. I said: What Do u need to copy? he said, "My passport" and gave me his passport and with a shock on my face I read "Uzbekiston Respublikasi". I was thinking all the time while showing him how to use the xerox machine, what button to press, whether to tell him that I am uzbek as well, or is it better to say something like "Menam Ozbekman" and surprise him. I tried to read his name and last name on the passport, but I had to move fast, so I could not.

The other day, I came to the internet cafe, and a chinese guy was sitting next to me. I sat there already for almost an hour when his cellphone rang. He picked it up and went like "EE, aka, asalomalekum, kevoldik, hudoga shukur..." Being honest, I forgot what I was typing and sat there till he left listenning to his conversation, trying to overhear the answers from the other end. I enjoyed it so much:lol:
I opened uzbek website, but he did not seem to notice.
At least he did not tell me anything:P

here in SA I will notice the Uzbek guy before he opens any website...
in school there were Uzbeks and Uyghurs and it is well known here in Saudi Arabia any Uzbek or Uyghur you see must be related to you even if it was distantly related:D .

Guess what? I had almost the same situation. It happened recently. I was in the Frankfurt In. Airp. when two guys approached me and asked how to figure out which gate they need for a flight to Washington, DC. I showed them how to use touch pad and find the gate number. I knew they weren't Americans 'cuz they had that heavy accent. And suddenly, one of them asked another: "~, sorragin bu boladan kanaqa kilib bu geytga etib borshimiz mumkin"? I was totally surprised and I didn;t know how to act. I know, it was kinda stupid of me not to tell them I'm Uzbek and go my own way. It was later when I felt sorry for not talking to them in Uzbek (even though it sucks big time =). But I do understand Stanford's and Incognito's reaction in their cases, cuz sometimes situation might be confusing enough to respond quickly.

A pod horezmskuyu lezginku ya celuyu vechnost gotov tancevat. koncert provodilsya v osnovnom dlya yaponcev, nas uzbekov tam bilo tolko troe. Vot mi i stali tancevat do upadu! I k moyemu udivleniyu vse zakrichali "hello", "hello"! Eti nashi muzikanti tak obradivalis, chto daje trudno opisat virajeniye ih lica, izumleniye i radost mojno bilo zametit na ih licah! :)!
No potom mne prishlos vsetaki skazat pravdu, zamuchilsya razgovarivat na tom durnom pridumannim mnoyu dialekte, yazik slomal!

драйв" "Hop in, fellows. No problems." "Sure thıng."
