Thank you for the detailed information!
Shall I assume $25+ (food) imply eating to restaurant for every meal?
How about ATM and use of credit card?
Is Tashkent has a metro?
Lately, I have also read about corruption in your country. What a foreigner should expect about this?

Yes, it it totally enough. You can use even less if you use the public kitchens, less then 5 euros per meal. But in restaurants 10 euro is enough for taking one meal.
As far as i know, ATM bancomats hard to be found in Tashkent. Take as much as you can store money in your pocket.
Tashkent has a beatiful metro, no problem with metro. It is better to buy rete (monthly ticket) if you use buses and metros. Taxis are usually expencive. But still cheap compare to Europe. One hour taxi driving is about 8 Euros.

What is a public kitchen exactly? Isn't most flats have a kitchen?
Thanks for your advice about ATM. Though I found some by typing "ATM locator" in Google. For those interested, here is the one for Visa: http://visa.via.infonow.net/locator/global/jsp/SearchPage.jsp And it is probably possible to use Western Union as well.

Yeah flats come with kitches
Probably he meant low profile restaurants usually they family run. However be careful that Uzbek way dining can be very different and difficult to digest
In Tashkent you can use your Credit Cards any high - end stores and supermarkets. Usually bank branches around Tashkent have ATMs, if you're lucky you can use them while they working.

Well, first they will kidnap you and ask couple of millions of dollars from your parents/relatives. If you are wealthy enough, there is no problem then. If you are not, then...you know the rest:) , if you have seen some scenes of taliban's execution of hostages.
hope it helps,;)
