Lost Uzbek Passport

Dear Forum users and friends,

One of my best friends were scheduled to leave back to Uzbekistan next week and he has just discovered that he is missing his Uzbekistan issued passport. He is in need of an urgent assistance. Does anybody know the fastest way how to obtain either a replacement or a "spravka" so he can get back home with no headaches? Please share any useful information that you might possess. Thank you all in advance for your help on behalf of my friend and myself.

if he have a copy of he's beloved 'former" passport, so he can get some kind of "spravka" from UZ Consulate to leave US and in UZB he can get new passport....

NYCdagi Uzbek Consulatega murojat qildi, lekin faqat voice mailga yoki avtomat operatorga ulanib ketdi. Biror bir Consul bilan gaplasha olmadi, lekin bilmadim balkim endi birortasi javob berib qolsa....

osha korsatilgan telefon tohtamasdan telefon qilish kera redial qip, yoki undan yahshisi oshatga borgani yahshi, bira tola ishini bitirib keladi..

Thanks for the advice Royal bro!! Yes, he got a copy of his passport and he is trying to reach Uzbekistan Consulate in NYC, but there is none alive operator answering his phone calls... Still got hope and we'll keep try to reach somebody there and get his "beloved former passport" :D, Inshallah.....

Ishlaringizga rivoj tilayman, lekin eng kamida bir hafta ketadi deb o'ylayman, chunki manimcha UZ Embassy Toshkentdagi "passportniy stol"dan podtverjdenie olishi kerak. Agar haqqattan shunday bo'lsa, buyog'i Toshkentga bo'g'liq bo'ladi...

Ishlaringizga rivoj tilayman, lekin eng kamida bir hafta ketadi deb o'ylayman, chunki manimcha UZ Embassy Toshkentdagi "passportniy stol"dan podtverjdenie olishi kerak. Agar haqqattan shunday bo'lsa, buyog'i Toshkentga bo'g'liq bo'ladi...

Togri aytasiz, men ham shuni uylab turibman, agar bu yogi Toshkentdagilarga bogliq bulsa hech bulmaganda minimalni bulsa ham qiynashsa kerak... Uzi 2 haftadan sung uchadi, agar 1 haftada qilib berishsa ham juda yahshi bular edi. Hozir NYC harakat qilib yuribdi...

questions regarding temporary passport verification should be addressed to vice-consul. as far i know him, he is ok person. it is possible to get temporary verification for in a 1 or 2 days. They have a standard letter for this kind of situations and there are many people who used it to travel back with Uzbek Air.
