Having Russian Citizenship does not mean that He's not Citizen of UZB!!! He's!
P.S Unfortunatly we dont have offical list of Richest People of Uzb , but it does not mean we dont have them , we do have a lot
having Russian citizenship does, indeed, freaking mean he is not a citizen of Uzbekistan!!!!!!!!!!
Republic of Uzbekistan does not practice dual citizenship. Once an individual becomes a citizen of another state, he or she automatically looses Uzbek citizeship. the fact that someone has unexpired green Uzbek passport, does not mean that the person possesses Uzbek citizenship.
as on topic, about official list of Rich people, i think you can work on one, or at least become a chief editor of that list, using all your connections and access to the Roayl Family, your highness

Can't have dual citizenship in Uzb-n. Period.
Russia allows dual citizenship as well US and several other counties. But Uzb-n does not.
For example, you can immigrate to Russia or US and get your new citizenship over there. The problem is when you return to Uzb-n, Uzb-n border control will not accept your new citizenship. You are still Uzb-n citizen and will be treated (sued) as such.
The proper way for Uzb-n national to accept new citizenship and not to get into trouble upon return to Uzb-n is to
1. register with appropriate gov-t agency in uzb-n that you are leaving Uzb-n permanently (vypiska na postayannoe mesto zhitelstvo).
2. Apply (zayavlenie) for abandonment of Uzb-n citizenship.
There are cases when Uzb-n national arrived to US on green card but never registered for withdrawal of permanent residency in Uzb-n (vypisyvatsja iz propiski na vyezd zagranitsy na postojannoe mesto zhitelstvo). After 5 years they get their US citizenship and travel back to Uzb-n with their new US passport. Uzb-n customs detain them for the basic reason that Uzb-n does not allow dual citizenship and thus does not recognize US passport.
I believe same is true for Russian passport or any other.
Of course, when travelling person is in favor of Uzb-n gov-t then border patrol ignores this violation of rules.

Come on, guys. Frida meant that from legal standpoint it's not allowed to have a dual citizenship. You can;t prove me wrong on that.
But again double standards. in this corrupted country everything is possible.
I know one person officially known as a citizen of Uzbekistan being at the same time citizen of anopther country. B. Eltsin.:)

Laziz, if you went to UWED, you should know from "Constitutional Law" that Uzbekistan allows dual citizenship on case by case method decided by the government (with cabmin or the president).
Examples of dual citizenship are Maminov, Pashinin and several other athletes.
not to be rude- but what are the advantages of uzbek citizenship anyways?
What about Shatskikh- is he a dual citizen too? I would assume a lot of the Uzbek athletes are dual citizens. How many of the ones who play internationally really live in Uzbekistan? Someone once told me that after independence Uzbekistan gave citizenship to a lot of wrestlers and other athletes to improve their teams.

u don't have to be rich to buy that green passport. it's price is only $ 100, i.e. this is the equivalent price of Uzbek citizenship:lol:

Uzbekistan's law on citizenship does not allow dual citizenship, no doubt here.
But, the fact is that many other countries do. So there are many people who are citizens of Uzb-n and have another citizenship as well. Is it illegal by Uzbek laws- yes, does it prevent people from getting second citizenships - no.
If Uzbek authorities realize you have another citizenship, you can be persecuted (if you are poor), your uzbek citizenship can be nullified (if you are not so poor), or you can just be told "you are a bad boy, aren't you" (if you are rich with connections)....
This is issue needs to be treated as any other issue in Uzbekistan, law vs corruption ...

yo, i'm not too sure about uzbekistan's stance as to the dual citizenship issue is, but kyrgyz officials, namely bakiyev et al, were claiming they'd immediately look into the issue of dual citizenship with russia, should they be elected to top-notch positions. howsoever, nothing has so far happened in this regard. moreover, evgeni shmagin, russians' envoy here in kg, said no single official has even contacted his embassy with this issue. even if they have, he said, it would be impossible bc there are too many strings attached to it - taxes, military service, visa procedures to other countries etc etc. therefore, shamgin says 'no way' guys to this idea :D

What if you get married to an Uzbek citizen? Doesn't he/she get citizenship from another country?? :? And doesn't the spouse get dual citizenship for Uzbekistan? I'm confused.
