White Card I-94 officialy determines how long you can stay in the US and is one of your most important immigration documents.If there is a date written in the upper right-hand corner of your I-94,you must apply to extend your stay or leave the US within 60 daysof that date.
If theres no date on the I-94,but rather the notation "D/S"(duration of status),you are considered to be in status for the entire length of time you are enrolled full-time in an educational program,as long as your I-20 or DS-2019 is valid."d/s"it does not mean that you can stay in the US indefinitely.

I think, the duration (or expiration date) of your stay should be on your white card (I-94), or there should be a stamp in your passport indicating the visitation period. But it might work only for B1-B2 visas, and F-1 visa holders might follow other pattern because the duration of student's stay might range from nine months to four years. I am not very sure. Just throwing a piece of my thoughts. I am sure that someone from forum.uz can help you with this because I am sure again that you are not the only one who expirienc/ing/ed that. HTH.

Keshka, if you came to states with an I-20, your I-94 expires when your student status expires. I-94 gets issed with D/S (Duration of Status) for international students. Sevinch tebe uzhe napisala ob etom. Chitay vnimatel'no :)

I recommend you to prolong your student status to stay legal and have legal I-94.

So, what is the situation with your I-20? You get 60 days gross period to apply/transfer to another school and get another I-20 issued. If you pass those 60 days, you have 5 month to reinstate your status. Basically, you can hire a lawyer who can present your case infront of the immigration judge.

Never mind your I-94, even if it's expired, the new imm. bill will give ppl like you a legal status.:D
