yeah, I was keeping my eyes on it. Unfortunately, senator specter was not able to include other provisions such as a new student visa F-4. I damn watched CNN and Fox all day today waiting for the positive outcome about the visa. But the senate seems to have not even discussed those issues. few comments:

1) I supported President Bush on immigration(can't rememebr the last time I did so:rolleyes: ). His guest worker-program could be a good substitute . He even participated today in a naturalization ceremony of 30 people who got their US citizenship. crazy texan guy.:D

2) Many protests have been happening in LA, ATL etc. Today thousands of mexican schoolchildren protested against the bill, which could make it felony for illegals to stay in US without immigration documents.

One things I noted: these mexicans are ****in crazy. They all were ****in carrying mexican flags:shock: Do you know what does that mean? Americans sure don't like that. Those proests could be very effective if they didn't do that. I even heard that they burned american flag.

But luckily it all ended up positively. for illegals though. But I didn't see freakin F-4 get passed. :(

Dirty lawyers,always think of money:)
On:I was reading USA Today,it says illegal immigrants who can prove they have been in the US since January 7,2004 will be granted temporary worker visas.
What about people who got into the US after January,2004?Anyone has head ups?

"The panel's bill would allow the estimated 11 million illegal immigrants in this country to apply for a work visa after paying back taxes and a penalty. The first three-year visa could be renewed for three more years. After four years, visa holders could apply for green cards and begin moving toward citizenship. An additional 400,000 such visas would be offered each year to workers seeking to enter the country."

Any provision for legal immigrants who'd entered the U.S. lawfully and have not violated their status? :)

well- immigration is one thing America does well. Find another country that has taken in so many immigrants. Ok- don't waste your time- you won't find any.

Senate is on a vacation, fellas,so chill out for couple of weeks.Anyhow, this bill is of no use to people from CIS,unless they were smuggled into the country before January,2004;)
