Pasportni yangilash qanday? Maslahat beringlar!

Assalomu alaykum qadrli forum ishtirokchilari quyidagi masalada maslahat beringlar, pasport yangilash qanday amalga oshiriladi. pasportimning srogi shu yil sentyabr oyi ohirida tamom buladi. hozir bu muhlat etmasdan turip almashtira olamanmi? buning uchun nima qilishim kerak. javobinglar uchun oldindan minnatdorman.

Gigabayte, qaysi davlattasiz? USda bolsangiz, ozimizani elchhonamiza orqali yangilasa boladi. Man yaqinda yangi, yaraqlaganini oldim :) Oviri bilan :) ulani web sitiga kirsez, consular sectionda hamma ruleslar bor, usha qogozlani yiqib topshirsez, 1-2 oydan keyin keladi.

If you http://www.uzbekistan.org/consular/legal/legalization/, there is a full explanation of which documents you have to submit. It kinda confusing first, but actually it is not that difficult to do.

The doc they ask to authenticate, in case if you are an itnernational student, is a university letter certifying that you are on F-1 and blah-blah. Then you should go to the notary public and sign it. Then you take the document to the secretary of state you reside in and get their seal and signature. Then you mail the same letter to the Department of State for them to certify it over the previous two signatures. :lol:

Besides, you have to fill in the embassy's appliaction form and pay legalization fees. Then get all the papers together and mail them to the Embassy. In about 2-2,5 months you'll get your new passport.

Oh, yeah, and you have to fill in OVIR's application form too. However, I did not see it available online... Hope this helps.

Here is an advice from "Passport alishtirish veterani :D" (this is true for 70% -75% cases).

I know 7 students (in Japan) who renewed passport and/or ovir vizas via embassy recently. 6 of them including me had problems (big problems). I was even misinformed that my passport was already renewed by our consul and 2 months after that I got back my old one. Liars!!!! :evil:

Do not even think to save money by not going home (UZ) and changing the passport via embassy. Yes, there is a rule that embassy (I belive not only in US) must accept passports of students and assist them in renewing. But, they do this usually very unwillingly and since passport passes several instances (You-> Embassy-> MID-> MVD-> MID-> Embassy-> You) until it is renewed, it is quite likely that it attracts someone's attention who is not so friendly...

Best way is to go back and do it by yourself. Spend additional 1000$ to go home, than 2000$ plus nerves afterwards. Prior to this, make sure to contact someone reliable and trustable in this matter.

Unfortunately many of our embassies' employees are very unprofessional. I knew they should have replaced my passport according to the rules. But they simply refused to do it. Even if they had agreed, it would probably have taken at least 2 months. Instead, I went to Uzb, had my new passport in 3 days and new ovir and american visas in 2 weeks :)

I have sent my passport in January and still there is no reply. But if they send me my old one like it was in your case then I don't know what to even think about our officials.:evil:

Personally, I changed my passeport via embassy and through telephone. I had to wait for three monthes, but everything was OK.
I sent them all documents and 65 euros by "cheque" (they even sent me prepaid envelop so that I can send them my documents)and I received my passeport with OVIR through mail in a bit more than three monthes.

as you can buy almost everything in Uzbekistan, why not transfering some money to your friends in Tashkent so they go to the "Passportniy stol" and/or OVIR and get you a new passport there. what do you guys know about this?
