hi there...
i have a super clean police record in turkey where im from.
when applying for citizenships, i do realize one has to provide a police record from the country where he lives.
but during the processing of citizenship applications, do most countries' immigration and/or other govt brances contact the foreign country of the applicant for any information?
thanks in advance.

I don't think they do. But they ask you to translate your documents to english and have them notarized.

the reason i ask this is because there must be some sort of a loophole in the systems today.
if they DONT do any check on that person (other than interpol) than the passport being used can be one of a deceaed person.
let me give an example and PLEASE KEEP IN MIND im in no way advocating any breakin of the law!
ok...
person 'X' dies.
his relatives keep his passport which his brother 'XX' finds and is now gonna use to get into another country and start citizenship. they look alike so that the passport pic of dead person 'X' and his brother 'XX' are very similiar.
would it be that easy to go about it?
it would make sense that any govt/immigration would contact that country somehow... no???

practice of the "Shakal" who is in France jail !
You want use the same tactikes to get new and different country citizenships ? You may try but could be very dangerous in this days.
each country law enforcements may close on You all the open cases. so You may give them some happiness and they are looking for such a people time to time.

but i dont think you understood the original post.

when You think : You smarter than whole world
a) US immigration authorities usually do not contact foreign governments to obtain police records of an individual applying for immigration benefits.
b) any individual seeking permanent immigration status in the US is fingerprinted. Accordingly, if he or she passes away, no other person will be successful in applying for naturalization using a permanent resident card of a deceased person.
