I think it's a bit arrogant to claim to have seen God, or to have understood him. This is not for everyone.
Regarding the second part (He wasn't who you think She was!) I agree and disagree, if that's possible. I agree in the sense that it's almost impossible to totally understand God. I disagree, because in some sense God is what we imagine him to be. For example, if we think God is loving, then he is loving, etc.
May God forgive me if my reasoning is flawed...

salam,
rasoul allah saaw said "think in the greatness of what allah created, and dont think in his majesty him self -swt-"
we realised the existance of his majesty allah swt from two sources,
1- from what his majesty created, and realised that such exactly made created things and aspects ofcourse done by acreator.
2- from books of messengers, as there meracles were as evidences of there prophethood that they are really messengers from allah, and they told the humanity about the god existance and his majesty adjectives -ar-rahman, ar-rahim, .... etc-
but the god him self, no one can see, as our human properties which his majesty created us with, cant qualify us to do so !
and other types of thinking in his majesty -personal aspects- are not effective, and forbidden in islam, and such questions must be neglected, as we cant see or hear his majesty, and no one can give real true idea about the shape of what cant see .
-allah know the best-
advise: give up such thinking .

P.S : hey people I don't think this statement impies to religious stuff...
You gotta think out of box a little bit instead of giving names of religious books ....

Yes, I used the word arrogant. I'll tell you why.
The author of the quote claims to have seen God. There are 2 possibilities, each of which imply different things:
Possibility 1: S/he has indeed seen God - this is impossible, we know nobody has seen God since prophet Muhammad. At least I think so. But even if you don't agree with me, I am sure you must find very hard to believe that someone has actually seen God. So we eliminate the first possibility.
Possibility 2: S/he has not seen God, but claims to have done so. This should be understood as this person claiming to have truly understood God. I think this is arrogant, because there are millions of people who try to understand God all their lives. Some of them are world-class scholars, etc. But even they don't claim to have seen/truly understood God. So for this guy to come out and claim to have understood God is basically, yes, arrogant.
#1 Samimy used the word arrogant correctly
#2 God is neither a man nor a woman. God does not reproduce so obviously there is no need to assign a sex.
It is just a quote to make people laugh.
