Aaaaah, I do not think that those are because of Herion. Because:
1. AFAIK, Afgans themselves do not smoke (or eat) Herion too much.
2. If it was because of herion, why there is no such babies born in the West where narkomania is more spread than in Afghan-n and where ppl smoke/eat stronger drugs than heroin. Heroin itself is not much strong than chemical substances which Europeans and Americans smoke. So I think it has nothing to do with Heroins.

If Americans somehow manage to stabilize this one helluva mess called Afghanistan, I think we can all bear the price called "collateral damage".

KANDAHAR, Afghanistan - U.S.-led coalition aircraft bombed a rebel stronghold in southern Afghanistan killling about 60 suspected Taliban militants and 16 civilians, an Afghan governor said Monday.

Kandahar Gov. Asadullah Khalid said 16 civilians were killed in Monday's attack and 16 were wounded and taken to hospitals in Kandahar city, a former Taliban stronghold.

"These sort of accidents happen during fighting, especially when the Taliban are hiding in homes," he said. "I urge people not to give shelter to the Taliban."
