I love my Tadjik biroders :) just like i love my Uzbek biroders.. But i love my Xorazmlik biroders just a little bit more :P
1.What does Tadjik mean ? is the root of word "Tadjik" is "tach" ?,which we,Anatolian Turks, use it for "crown" ?
2.Can Tadjiks and Irani ppl understand each other ?How close their language is ?
Besides how harmonious is Farsi language and as a foreigner(but i think i belong to Uzbekistan) i think Uzbek language affected by Farsi but ofcourse not by grammatically,by the form of sounds,by the way of speaking style,by phonetically. and that makes Uzbek language different(in the good way). Uzbek is clearly outstanding, isn it. i can read Uzbek, but i cant speak or write.but i will...

It is juast a nationality before they alway been called neither Turkestanis or Persians, anyway they are aour brothers, because have eaten the same food, same traition, our kings were the same, our blood look the excacly same u can't see the different between tadjik and Uzbek, they also have Turkish blood, and persian and pushtoon, but i thnik they more turkish blood, they look more Asian(Central Asian). They wear the same gear, nothing is deffernent but only defference is in the language...
Tadjiks are always wellcome hear and anywhere in Uzbekistan, the same with Uzbek are also welcome in Tadjikistan.
They speak tadjiki which is Persian kind, but have cought so many words are are different which makes me think they are more closer to UZBEK TURKS

Great post, brotherhood must be promoted, I watched a Tv travel program on Turkiye Tv about Tajikistan, it seems a beautiful land, people are very hospitable and some traditions and cultural aspects seem quite similar.
In Turk Festival Days in the West there are all the Turkic nations people there are also Tajiks there aswell so we must be close.
Then agains Azeri Turks are also close to Persians as we lived close to each other for so long.
At the end of the day were all brothers and alot have mixed, its best we keep the Racist out and let the Lovers in.
Let us love and be loved,
Yunus Emre

Tadjik means a farsi dialect spoken by Tadjiks, who are a group of people that ascribe themselves to or are ascribed as belonging to common anscestry with the persian/central asian culture and having shared language (tadjik) and ethnicy identity.
2.Can Tadjiks and Irani ppl understand each other ?How close their language is ?
Yes, they can. But there are some differences due to the separation of Central Asia from the Middle East during the Soviet period when two languages had little interaction, hence some variations since then. I'm no linguist though, and learnt this from observation...

Although spoken tajik can sound different to spoken farsi, when you write it's pretty similar. But I'll let farsi-speakers decide. Also, read below.
"Tajik is an offspring of the Persian language (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Persian_language), and belongs - along with Afghanistan's Dari (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dari) - to the Eastern dialects of Persian. Historically, it was considered the local dialect of Persian spoken by the Tajik (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tajiks) ethnic group in Central Asia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Central_Asia); when the Soviet Union (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Soviet_Union) imposed the use of the Latin script (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Latin_script) in 1928 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1928), and later the Cyrillic (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cyrillic) script, it came to be considered a separate language in Tajikistan, partly for political reasons. (In Afghanistan, Tajiks continued to use the Arabic script.) The language has diverged somewhat from Persian as spoken in Afghanistan (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Afghanistan) and Iran (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Iran), because of political borders and the influence of Russian (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Russian_language); however, a transcribed Tajik text can in general easily be read and understood by an Afghan or Iranian Persian speaker, and vice versa."
