2. Do not copy-paste the whole text of the news. Just copy few sentences or just the headlines of the news so that users have clue what is it about.

GAZA, June 13, 2006, (WAFA)- Medical sources said that the number of the Palestinian citizens murdered in the Israeli raids has climbed to ten, including paramedics and children.

Dr. M. Hassanin, DG of Emergency at Ministry of Health told WAFA on Tuesday that four paramedics identified as Adnan Taleb 45, Hossam Hamad 32, Ali Alamri 45 and Mossa Nasrallah 27 were killed in the Israeli attack.

Ashraf Almoghrabi 33 and his kid, Hisham, were also killed among other four citizens. At least thirty others were wounded, some critically, in the attack, medical sources said.

Three others identified as Mahir Moghrabi, Hammoda al-Wadiyya and Shawqi Siqali, all of them in twenties, were also killed and one more unidentified citizen as well.

Witnesses said that the Israeli plane hit a yellow Volkswagen car at Saladin Street, east of Gaza. When the paramedics and people gathered around the car to help the casualties, the Israelis shot another two missiles killing and wounding tens of people.

А известный саудовский проповедник шейх Мухаммед Салих аль-Мунаджид пошел еще дальше. Он логически обосновал, почему не стоит смотреть футбол. Бегать по полю частично обнаженными - грешно. Делать ставки на то, какая команда победит, - нечестиво. Относиться к болельщикам другой команды "не по-братски" - неблагородно. А использовать бранную лексику во время матча уж совсем непростительно.

"Мы не потерпим такого отношения к трансляциям игр нашей команды, - заявил "Известиям" представитель сборной Саудовской Аравии Ибрагим Альгова. - На игру в футбол нас благословил сам пророк Мухаммед. Когда мы бились с командой из Туниса, за нас болели тысячи соотечественников. Представляете, что бы они сделали, если бы кто-то не дал им посмотреть матч?"

Критический взгляд

Председатель Исламского комитета России Гейдар Джемаль выступил с резкой критикой сегодняшнего статуса и позиции стран – членов ОИК. По его мнению «деятельность организации нельзя назвать эффективной», более того он антиисламский, поскольку лидеры стран участниц ОИК, по словам Джемаля, находятся в прямой зависимости от политики западного сообщества, цель которого «контролировать исламский фактор на соответствующих территориях», сообщает ИА REGNUM.

Джемаль подчеркнул, что все успехи стран-участников ОИК нужно записывать на счет лидеров этих конкретных стран, а не на организацию. Организация ничего для этого не делает. Например, Малайзия прорывается в лидеры благодаря своему главе.

По мнению Джемаля, исламский мир нужно организовывать снизу, а "ОИК обречен". Эксперт назвал США "ледоколом, который ломает одну страну за другой". Рано или поздно эти обломки подберет улица, сказал он, "и улица будет на себя примерять власть и авторитет".

A senior government official, Haidar Majid, contested the police figures, saying late Sunday that only nine people died in Jihad. Police Lt. Mohammed Khayoun insisted the figure of 41 was correct — with 24 bodies taken to Yarmouk hospital and 17 to the city morgue. There was no way to reconcile the discrepancy.

The trouble started about 10 a.m. when several carloads of gunmen drove into the Jihad area along the main road to Baghdad International Airport, police and witnesses said. The gunmen stopped cars, checked passengers' identification cards and shot dead those with Sunni names.

Masked gunmen wearing black clothes roamed the streets, abducting Sunnis whose bodies were found later scattered throughout the religiously mixed neighborhood, an Interior Ministry official said. He spoke on condition of anonymity because he was not authorized to talk to media.
Another policeman, Lt. Maitham Abdul-Razzaq, also said 41 bodies had been collected and taken to hospitals. Some Sunni clerics put the death toll at more than 50 in Jihad, a once prosperous neighborhood of handsome villas owned by officials of Saddam Hussein's security services.

Residents contacted by telephone told of gunmen systematically rounding up and massacring Sunni men.

A Shiite shopkeeper said he saw heavily armed men pull four people out of a car, blindfold them and force them to stand to the side while they grabbed five others out of a minivan.

"After ten minutes, the gunmen took the nine people to a place a few meters (yards) away from the market and opened fire on them," Saad Jawad al-Azzawi said.

Ingrid Mattson, a Canadian convert to Islam who was elected last week to lead the Islamic Society of North America, says women should participate fully in Muslim life - whether that means sitting next to men during mosque lectures, but not at prayers, or contributing to the rules that govern religious observance.

"I want to make sure women are fully engaged," Mattson said Tuesday. "They should sit on boards and in mosques in space equal to men so they can participate in discussions."

Commodore Hussain headed the naval base at Portsmouth

A 48-year-old senior officer who joined the Royal Navy in 1977 has been appointed rear admiral and becomes the highest ranking Muslim in the service.
Commodore Amjad Hussain, who lives in Hertfordshire, will head the defence logistics organisation in Bath.
His last posting was at Portsmouth where he was the naval base commander.
He is an outspoken supporter of ethnic minorities joining the armed forces and said at a recent awards ceremony: "It is a wonderful life."
'Value equality'
The engineering and business administration graduate from Durham University has served in fishing protection vessels and as a weapons officer on an aircraft carrier.
He said: "If you are working in a part of the world where your life is in danger, you need a great team. We value equality for that very reason.
"In many countries, the armed forces are often the last bastion of traditional thinking. If my example gives encouragement to young British Asians to sign up then I will be a happy man." Commodore Hussain has also had two spells working in Whitehall in equipment and resource planning.

3- Islam and its cultural and historical effect on Central Asian nationa: this includes the role of Islam in the development of central Asian nations "Kyrgyzstan as an example" , Muslims in Turkistan...forgotten history, Islamic culture and civilization and its effect on the political, social, and economical life in central Asia.

4- Muslims of Central Asia and their Civil effect: this includes the role of the Imams Buxari and Muslim in saving the Hadith, some icon Muslim scholars and their role in Islamic sciences, The participation of Mavarannahr Muslim scientists in science and civilization, the efforts of central Asian Muslims in serving Islam.

5- Central Asian Muslims and the current challenges: this includes the religious state in the Kyrgyz village in the works of Kyrgyz novelist Jenkiz Etenmatov and the mission of the Muslim world, Central Asian republics in today's world... a local look.

there will be also some subevents including the visit of the general secretary of the muslim world league to the Islamic university in Kyrgyzstan and his meeting with the president of the Kyrgyz Parliamant. He will also be at the Qur'an competition organized by the Holy Qur'an organization for Qur'an Memorization.

Zaid Ismail had been selling cars at a local auto dealership for about eight months when the harassment started.

His new manager called Ismail, a Palestinian, ``little terrorist.''

When he was in the restroom, someone knocked on the stall door saying, ``Hey, are you making bombs in there?''

And in September of last year, Ismail, 51, of Coral Springs, found a note on his car telling him to go back to the Middle East or die.

''I'm an American like everyone else. It's not right,'' Ismail said.

Ismail's story is one of 112 acts of discrimination against Muslims recorded last year in Florida, according to a report released on Thursday. That's up from 103 in 2004.

The Florida chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations put together the annual report. CAIR is a Muslim advocacy group established after the 1995 Oklahoma City bombing.

''The effect of 9/11 is not withering away,'' CAIR legal counsel Areeb Naseer said.

Other findings in the report include:
• The number of hate crimes against Muslims went down from 15 in 2004 to 12 in 2005.
• Work was the most common place where discrimination occurred, including 22 of the incidents against Muslims in 2005.
• Denying Muslims religious accommodations, like banning a woman from wearing a head scarf, was the most common type of discrimination, including 24 of the incidents in 2005.

CAIR compiles the numbers from complaints received at its two Florida offices in Pembroke Pines and Tampa. A third office opened in Orlando this year.

Each complaint is investigated to make sure the person has evidence that the discrimination happened, Naseer said. Once CAIR officials decide the complaint is legitimate, they try to find a way to resolve the situation, Naseer said.

Resolution of a complaintcan mean finding a way for a woman to wear her head scarf at work or cash payments to a victim, Naseer said.

Naseer said the number of actual anti-Muslim acts probably is even higher than 112 because some people are too scared to say anything or think nothing can be done.

''It's hard for me -- I have to say very sadly -- for me to see these numbers going down anytime soon,'' Naseer said.

BLANTYRE — Non-Muslims in the Southern African country of Malawi have developed trust in halal food-stuffs as meat products that are certified by the national halal body comply with strict veterinary requirements.
"It’s much safer eating halal certified meat products. At least you are assured that they can not just grab a sick animal for slaughter," Clement Chinoko, a Protestant based in Malawi’s commercial capital Blantyre, told IslamOnline.net.

"The good thing is that even non-Muslim consumers are now aware of the need to buy from halal outlets," said Maulana Lehman.

"Most of them agree that meat products purchased from halal certified outlets are safer because most of them also comply with the Veterinary requirements."Cornelius Kachenjera, a non-Muslim who was born and raised in the Muslim predominant area of Chiradzulu, a few kilometers away from Blantyre, also prefers consuming halal meat products.

Reports indicate that Imam Anwar Al Awlaki, a prominent Muslim scholar highly regarded in English speaking Islamic circles, has been detained incommunicado for the past two months in Yemen and may face torture or ill treatment in custody.

Anwar Awlaki, whilst in the US worked for inter-faith dialogue– working hard to establish a reasoned, nuanced and just form of intellectual dissent in Western Muslims Enabling Muslim communities in western societies to contribute and interact in wider society and contribute to it whilst remaining confident of their Islamic heritage and identity.

Regarding the 9/11 attacks, Imam Anwar was quick to state,

“What has occurred is a heinous crime. A Muslim can have nothing to do with this.” [1]

Imam Anwar was renowned for his justice amongst people, even when Muslim sentiment would seem to be totally against the West; this is typified by one of his statements:

“President Bush has showed the Muslim American community some good gestures. He specifically warned the people from committing any hate crimes against their fellow Muslim citizens, and he visited a Mosque.”

BACKGROUND

Anwar al-Awlaki is a Muslim scholar who was born in New Mexico, and is a US national. His parents are from Yemen, where he lived for eleven years and received the early part of his Islamic education.
He served as an Imam in Colorado, California, and later in the Washington, D.C. area where he headed the Dar Al-Hijrah Islamic Center and was also the Muslim Chaplain at George Washington University. Prior to his detention, he was resident in Yemen, where he was studying Islamic Jurisprudence with prominent scholars, He holds a B.S. in Civil Engineering from Colorado State University, a M.A. in Education Leadership from San Diego State University and was working on a Doctorate degree in Human Resource Development at George Washington University. He authored many popular audio series including the "Lives of the Prophets", "The Hereafter" and "The Life of Muhammad".

In the early hours of October 17, a Yemeni secret police raid swept up eight foreigners living in Sana'a, under surveillance by the CIA and British intelligence, and at least 12 other men across Yemen. Yemeni authorities insist they dismantled an al-Qa'ida cell and disrupted a gun-running ring to neighboring Somalia.

It was subsequently reported that the key to the raids was Anwar Al Awlaki (identified in the media as 'Abu Atiq') who was arrested six weeks before the October 17 swoop. Media reports allege that 'Abu Atiq' was an associate of two of the September 11 hijackers and a protege of Abdul al-Majid al-Zindani, who the US wants arrested on terror charges. They also make allegations of supposed involvement in a foiled al-Qa'ida plot to bomb oil and gas facilities in Yemen.

He is believed to be held in Central Security Prison in Sana'a. Locals in Sanaa insist, perhaps apocryphally, that the two stories of the complex above ground sit atop eight stories underground, where torture rooms and darkened cells are often used.

Human rights organisations such as Amnesty International have repeatedly raised concerns regarding arrests and detentions by the Political Security Organ in Yemen, which are carried out with total disregard for the rule of law and for Yemen’s international human rights obligations. Amnesty states that, “arrests are carried out without the judicial supervision required by law and those detained were invariably subjected to lengthy incommunicado detention and interrogations, during which some detainees claim that they were tortured or ill-treated. Detainees have also been denied access to lawyers, as well as being denied the opportunity to challenge the legality of their detention before a court.”
