hi there
good morning to all
I am from Pakistan and these days in Yokohama Japan.
Wana visit Uzbekstan (basically Tashkant, a city of my childhood fairy tales)

can some one provide information?
regarding visa process? (I heard I will need invitation from Uzbek to get visit visa)
Is it easy to get visa? or still it is a forbidden country like in Russian era?

How much is the exchange rate?
Average expenses per day? is it expensive to live there for a month or so?

worth visiting sites? (how long i need to plan to have a moderate level visit with major sites)

and can people there speak english? or should i learn some basic uzbk?

how to stay there for about one month? hotels or private accomodations or so?
how about meals?
and all details that you can provide.

are the people friendly?
are they shy?

do they hate forigners?
Is it safe to travel there?

and all info that you can give is highly appreciated.

I know some questions may be quite silly for you but please dont mind, it is all due to my ignorance about your country.

thanks
In return if you plan to visit Japan or Pakistan I can help
see you

as Pakistani citizen it'll be very very difficult to you to get Uzbek viza

because usually our MID are refusing to provide with Viza

the reason is: our Government considered Pakistani guys as terrorists or smth like this

last year I tried to invite our Pakistani partners 3 times...but I wasn't able to get approve on it ....

not banned but not welcomed ;)

But if you are working for the project of the Government of Uzbekistan then you have a good chanse to get your VIZA

and what about the people of Uzbk?
I mean do they fall in the same category to think Paks as terrorist?

If that is so, I am sure it is of no use to visit coz everywhere you will have to face difficulties and closed doors.

why?

I mean I dont think Pak had ever been involved in such kind of activity to create a terrorist image world wide.

and more over , it is not the fault of people living in Pakistan if such image exist, it may be just a painted image, a crafted history to corner every effort from sub-continent of getting closer to central asia.

any way I am gonna give it a try and let us see what comes up next.

hope to see you there in Tashkant.
