My favorite designer Lebanese Elie Saab… His Wedding dresses are magical… He knows how to make women feel feminine and beautiful.

Elie Saab is really talented I saw his 2005 collection wedding gowns in Paris and they were really nice.

In Tashkent they sell Elie Saab evening dresses which are also exquisite.

I also like wedding gowns by Monique Lhuillier, Badgley Mischka, Valentino and Vera Wang.

Deferent designers have deferent prices...Starting price 3000$ and beyond...
But they are very expensive, especially custom made ones.. I knew one girl from Tashkent she got her dress made from a designer (I think it was Valentino) and it cost her 40.000$ ...Some even cost more than 100.000$...


is it better to rent it or just buy it?

Depends how much you want to spend…Some rented gowns can be very expensive too…

For example, when I was getting married I got my dress custom made for me, because I could not find a dress that I really wanted…

Unfortunately, I can't exactly tell you how much his dresses are, all I know is the starting price is 3000$.Considering that he makes dresses for celebrities his wedding gowns are going to be very expensive.

Here is what I found about white dress..

Прочитав пост вспомнила свой галоп по всем свадебным салонам Москвы. Помню просто одуревала от такого широкого ассортимента. В результате остановилась на 2 нижеприведенных.
Красота красотой, но как я рада что корсет повсеместно отменили еще до моего рождения...:)

Yes, they sell only evening gowns but you can order a wedding dress as well but I'd say it is not a good idea because some dresses in reality look totally different than in pictures.


Actually, there are wedding gowns which cost $20.000 and up which are not custom made.

forex dealer - все может быть. Все мы где то когда то пересекались учитывая специфику страны происхождения. Взять хотя бы к примеру утренние пловы там люди не зная друг друга пересекаются по нескольку сот раз :)
Что касается платья, вот что я почерпнула из моих наблюдений в Ташкенте:
Платье обычно ВСЕГДА берется напрокат, только цены варьируются.
Платье девушка ищет совместно с родственниками и подругами, оплачивается оно стороной жениха.
Свои оба платья я купила сама, также как и кольцо, но это уже особенности моего характера и обычаи тут не причем.
Fargonail- а ты не присутствовал, был где то на сборах? Свадьба в Фергане у нас вышла веселая, однокашники наши оторвались по полной :)

Mrs Reaper - нисколько не сомневаюсь в способности отдельно взятых слоев населения Узбекистана покупать свадебные платья (и даже в Европе), более того могу заметить, что даже когда они берут платья напрокат они тратят сумму большую, чем я заплатила за свои новые. Просто исходя из моих субъективных наблюдений (ну плохая выборка с точки зрения социологии а что делать?) напрокат брали 100% опрошенных :)

Hi :) I'm getting married this Fall... ' been dress hunting since last year December. Here is wht I have to say...

Studentin:
I've been looking for a dress in Germany ( Frankfurt), so can only give u some info on that. There are many shops in the "Romer" area and Goethe Strasse, but its better to make an appointment in advance. Sorry cant give you detailed info, as I made all arrangements as I was there. Gelbe Seiten should help :)

Usually, a dress will cost 1000,- USD and above. Elli Saab, Atelier Aimee, Valentino Sposa, some Pronovias models will be around 7K and above.

Less expensive ones are by Demetrios, some Pronovias models ( "White One", for instance) and Lilly.
Check out "Das Brautmagazin" or "braut.de" for more info on vendors in your location.

Another option is to drive down to Italy ( take Rome, Milano). You will need at least 4 days, if you are willing to get a ready to wear dress with slight changes by local tailor.
Otherwise, you need at least a week. Check out shoprome.it for more info.
Italy has some unknown, but nice designers and the prices there are slightly lower.

Keep in mind that some dresses look diff. once you try them on. For instance, a beautiful dress by valentino sposa (see below) looks baggy once u try it on. Extremly ugly, I must admit.

It helps to take pics of the dress.. and go over the pics once home.
Also, if you are in Germany, sometimes it might take up to 2 months to order the right size/model... Pls place ur order well in advance.

Attached, Valentino Sposa's "Diella" model, that looks baggy and some other models that I adore.

Most importantly, choose the dress YOU want, a dress that will "feel good"... Its your wedding, after all :) Once in a lifetime, YOURS only.

After you choose your ideal dress, it is very important to choose the right accessories (Such as shoes, veil, tiaras and a bouquet) to match your wedding gown to avoid all the stress… For e.g. I left buying the shoes to the last moment, and had a bit of a problem finding the right shoes matching my dress…In Moscow all shoes that I saw were white, it was difficult to find nice ivory color shoes. So we ended up cutting the flowers from some left over material of my dress and sticking it on plain white shoes… It looked very beautiful though …:D

Well, to me it does not really matter...
I believe that whatever the bride/groom wears should primarily make them feel comfortable.
Tuxedos look good - on some men - but I cant enforce a tuxedo on a guy who barely wears suits :)
In other words, if the guy shows up in.. a PJ, would you still marry him? ;)

So, my belief is that the couple should make themselves comfortable, and the crowd can get over their xpectations of bling bling dresses, tuxedos, veils, hats etc.
In any case, there never will be a 100% WOW effect, as someone will always find something "wrong" :)


Btw, Iqra: your pics look gorgeous! It looks like you have put a lot of effort into both dresses. You look sooo happy and sweet. Bahtli boling!

Yes it is a very good idea to consider such matters, as you might not be able to move alot on high heels …Carefully choose the comfortable shoes and try to practice your walk in them wearing your wedding dress few days before…It is difficult to move around in a long dress and high heels…And my advice Choose your bridesmaid carefully as well (better to have few of them)… She should be busy looking after the Bride not after herself… ;)

Hello again Hilkabibi… I don’t know about others but for me to have bridesmaids was very useful... They were all assigned with certain tasks… Oh they were so helpful for which I’m really grateful to them…One was making sure that my make up and my dress was alright, holding my bouquet, etc …Drugaya Provodila Vikup and etc.… Po scenariyu u kajdoy bila svoya rol’…To have a good, organized wedding each person should be assigned with certain responsibilities…But again it is every persons preference…You might manage very well without bridesmaids…:)


Taht's just some task that she has to do :



1)Helping put together the wedding program, both in terms of how the wedding will proceed and in selecting paper/fonts for the program itself.


2)Organizing/hosting the bridal shower. Typically, the maid of honor does this, but in other situations the mother of the bride might host and the maids might assist.

We need to have a lot of money to make weddings. Therefore, parents usually gather money almost all their life. To "give" daughter to another family, parents gather a lot of things like "40 kurpas, 30 tushaks (special things to sit on and sleep), and 25 pillows ". Kurpa and tushak are special covers, dresses for new brides, for parents of groom, for close relatives' shelves, bed, curtain and other many things. New bride can live with these things. To hold usual wedding is very expensive. That’s why we have such tale, “if parents have 3 daughters paradise doors are open to them”. During the whole life, parents save their money for doing beautiful dowries for their daughter. That’s why usually Uzbek people don't travel around the world.
By a tradition, first, groom’s parents go to the bride’s home to ask if her parents agree to connect their children's' life. Before going to bride’s home, they ask from everyone: neighbours, teacher and from other bride’s friends to find the answer for the question “what kind of girl is she?” The groom’s side usually asks many questions. Who were seven ancestors of this girl? Does she cook well? Is she going to be a good housewife or a good wife for their son? Usually Uzbek boys usually agree with their parents choice. Then parents or boy’s grandparents go to the girl’s home to ask for the girl’s hand. When they go for the first time to the bride’s home, boy’s side bring 10 “non “s, sweets and white dress for new bride with themselves in a white tablecloth. There are symbols for each of these things. For example candies “New couple's life will be sweet as candy”, white tablecloth means future bride’s sole to be as white as that tablecloth. If the bride’s side agrees, they share non (bread), and they many handkerchiefs for groom. “Ok kiydi” means “white dressing” and it symbolizes that new couples are engaged. After “ok kiydi” groom’s side should bring 80 kg of refined cotton and 60 kg of flour and some other candies. What do you think? Bride’s side gives more things than groom’s side. They buy all dresses for groom. Usually in Zags new couples of friends go to eat ice- cream and put flowers to Al-Fargoniy.
After this, they go to the registration office (in Uzbek it is ZAGS). In registration office they sign some documents and they will be married legally. After this ceremony new couples go to the boy’s home. When they will be coming to the groom’s house, candies are spread over their head. It means new couple’s new steps will bring happiness to this home. After this they go back to the bride’s home for religious agreement which will be hold by DOMLA. In this ceremony the groom's uncle should pay some money for BRIDE’S aunt. If the money is not so enough, girl’s side usually can make “discounts” with the boy’s relatives. During entreat domla asks 3 times, if the girl agrees to connect her life with the groom.
After this ceremony they go to the brides’ home to have our big wedding party. There will be Uzbek singers who sing really fast songs. Everyone dances and congratulates new brides. In the wedding bride usually wears a white dress. In Uzbek it is “kelin kuylak”. The girl often cries a lot when she says “bye” to everyone. Usually new “kelin” goes from her parent’s home forever. By the way to the boy home kelin’s relatives sing a song. Usually kelin’s relatives go to the boy’s home by bus. On the bus they sing our traditional song. This is “yiglama yor-yor to’y saniki yor yor”. It means “don’t cry, this is your day, why are you crying, on this day you should be happy”. When the bus comes to the boy’s house, boy’s mum gives sweet water. Then the boy bride carries her down the bus. If the boy side doesn’t give a knife to the girl’s brother, the bride will not get off the bus. Near the boy’s home, there will be often a fire and new brides should walk around the fire three times. It means that new brides’ life will be as warm as fire.
After this the wedding starts. First, bride should pray for everyone and to the boy’s relatives, neighbours. For this moment we’ve a special song. For each guest special song. After this songs end, the wedding party will begin, fiancée’s and bride’s friends congratulate them. After five or 6 hours long party wedding ends. On the second day there is another part of the wedding called “Yuz ochdi”. It means “face opening”. Only women participate in this ceremony. The bride wears a handkerchief covering her face with it. Fiancée's nephew opens her face later. The Fiancée's side gives gifts to the bride. After 10 days another ceremony, called “Ota ko’rdi” takes place. The bride’s father brings gifts to her daughter. The bride can’t go to her own house unless her parents call her with another special ceremony.

soglasna s toboi, no s drugoi storoni - vse na svadbu delaut klubki ili tiari. A tak hochetsa otlichatsa ot drugih :P. Mne nravyatsa naprimer zamislovatie spleteniya - kak Lady_G vnachale zapostila. Ya voobshe sama obajayu takie pricheski delat. Navernoe u menya talant parikmahera est ;).
Na vipusknoy vecher moya parikmahersha sdelala iz moih volos prichesku IX veka :cool: - takoy venok svoeobrazniy, vse smotreli tolko na volosi a ne na platye!

Идеальный макияж
1. Вы нанесли слишком много тонального крема
Одна из самых распространенных ошибок. Если остальную косметику вы уже нанесли, то делаем так: берем чисты спонж, увлажняем его и круговыми движениями удаляем излишки крема. Спонжик должен быть идеально чистым, без признаков посторонней косметики. Осторожней с областью вокруг глаз – здесь делаем все тоже самое и затем ровняем все кончиками пальцев.
2. Тени на веках получились слишком темными
Если макияж глаз получился слишком темным и вам нужно слегка это исправить делаем следующее. Если беда случилась на верхнем веке, то возьмите чистую кисточку и снимите излишки теней. Можно нанести светлые тени в то место где нужно осветлить. Если в вашей косметичке нет таких теней, используйте пудру. Если нужно снять излишек теней с нижнего века, используйте ватную палочку. Может после удаления излишек с нижнего века нужно будет слегка подкорректировать область вокруг глаз корректирующим средством.
3. Слишком много румян
Если ваши щеки стали похожи на щечки Марфушеньки-душеньки из детской сказки Морозко, то проще всего снять излишки либо чистым спонжем, либо припудрить прозрачной пудрой.
4. Брови
Когда мы красим брови в черный цвет, то главное не перестараться, иначе наш взгляд станет тяжелым и можно не узнать себя в зеркале. Если это все же случилось, то возьмите чистую ватную палочку и удаляйте излишки до тех пор пока ваш взгляд не станет привычным для вас и окружающих
5.Тушь размазалась на веках
Ничего страшного в этом нет. Вовсе не обязательно смывать всю косметику с глаза. Возьмите ватную палочку и удалите тушь. Затем нанесите нужный оттенок теней на тот же участок глаза.

I personally dont like the big, "puffy" wedding dresses; I prefer mermaid style and not puffy (kak "beze" perojennoe). It happened once that I have worked in Bridal Salon in Canada for sometime; when I just started working I had my dream wedding dress in mind, but then after a while my opinion changed so much and I got confused. But I would still prefer something with a long long "train" and definately no veil ;) I dont know but almost all brides that I have seen had a big puffy dress (it looks good , dont get me wrong, all of them loked like princesses) and only few of them go for a mermaid dress......Do you guys like big dresses or mermaid dresses? Just want to know your opinion on that:lol:

Qizlarga qo'yib bersa ko'p "ishlar qilaman"-deydi.
Bahonasi "bir marta turmushga chiqaman, niyat qilganman, armon bo'lib qolmasin oq kiyish". Xo'p mayli bunga kuyov bo'lmish rozi bo'ladi. (ikki tomon ham musulmon farzandi bo'lsada)
Lekin endi qiz "o'zidan ketadi" va yuqoridagi rasmlardagidek wedding dress larni "dream" qiladi.

Endi tasavvur qiling, toy kuni hammaning diqqati kelin bilan kuyovga qaratiladi. Xulosam: Avvalo qizlarga bunaqa axmoqona "dream"lar qilmaslikni o'rgatish kerak. Ular bunga o'rgangunlaricha to'y liboslarining yelkani yopib turadiganroq... shakldagisini kiyishlarini nazorat qilib turish kerak.

Umuman olganda atlas kuylak kiyishga majbur qilsayam bo'ladikuya, keyin bir umr ming'ir ming'ir qulog'ingiz tagidan ketmaydi... to'yim to'ydek bo'lmadi, orzularim armonga aylandi... oq libos kiymadim...blabla..degan.
Shuning uchun kuyov bo'lmish jigitlar, ortiqcha mulozamatni yig'ishtirib qo'yib, hayotga haqiqiy nazar bilan qarang. Faqat siz emas uylanayotgan, xotinli bo'layotgan.
