The situation is this, i have been dating a uzbek woman, actuall 1/2 uzbek and 1/2 russian for over a year, i am american; I love her with all my heart, we both believe that we are soullmate. We get along very well and have such a good understanding of each other its scary. She speaks good english even when she has trouble expressing herself, i know what she means. We are planning to get married this year, her mom approves; she's already consider me a son. what i want to know is how long will it take after we are married to get her visa, i am willing to pay for the quickest way, but still would like to know the whole proceess. I tell you all one thing american women have nothing compared to uzbek or russian women they are simply the best. if you want to her the whole story, we can talk on icq Thanks

dude, who wants to hear your revelations?Nothing is perfect in this world,if you are so happy, good for you.But wait till you get married.
As for immigration stuff, you are better off if you get married in Uzbekistan, and get your marriage certificate over there.Getting a visa is not a long process, but getting a residential status is another issue.
And get a lawyer.

there are two options:

K1 (nonimmigrant)fiance visa, process of legalization in US will take forever ( step by step with pain in the neck)

K3 ( immigration, I can be wrong) spouse visa, your future wife will get her conditional green card within couple of weeks after arriving to US, of course, she will be employment authorized.

If you're truly in good faith with her, I would suggest you marrie to her in Uzbekistan, get you marriage cert. in US konsulate in Tashkent, and apply for visa K3.

I tell you all one thing american women have nothing compared to uzbek or russian women they are simply the best. In my opinion, it's wrong.
Woman is always A WOMAN, no matter where she lives and/or etc.

Good luck!

Prosperina, Actually fiance Visa takes less time than any other application. 6 month is not 6 years.

She will be asked questions while being interviewed by consul in order to obtain conditional Visa to enter US.
What you will have to do before you start filing:

1. Make sure you have sufficient evidence that you guys have been dating for such and such long time. Lots of pictures, friend testimonies, tickets to UZB, gift recipts, etc.

2. Make sure you guys really know each other :)

Follow this for the rest:

How Do I Bring My Fiancé(e) to the United States? (http://www.uscis.gov/graphics/howdoi/fiance.htm)

If you go to UZB and get married there, she can apply for a GC in UZB. Procedures are a little different and faster. In this case, you wife will recieve her documents in Tashkent...

Hi,

Are you sure that you know your fiancee from Uzbekistan well enough, as here it is mandatory to get passport at the age of 16!!!!! You do not need any parents' signatures!!! My case (k1 visa) has been approved today  !!!! So I am familiar with the procedure!

Good luck to everybody!!!

Go straight to the horse's mouth - call the US embassy in Tashkent, and/or check out the BCIS website!

Pipo,

Your fiance will have to get her exit visa from local OVIR. In the mean time, OVIR requires to have her to get her parents notary authorized consent in order to live the country.

I am not sure if it requires by Uzbek law, but could be for a little challenge :?

You mean once she get the US bride visa and also all her documents done she must still need the OVIR visa to travel to US?? even thought I read little info that OVIR visa exit is valid for countries within the CIS , i did not know such OVIR exit visa is required to exit to go to the US , but anyway thanks for the info I appreciate this

Pipo,

In order for your bride to leave Uzbekistan, she must receive permission from the Uzbek government in the form of an exit visa from OVIR. The OVIR is the national Uzbek police force. It may be a somewhat bureaucratice and frustrating process. The process of obtaining an exit visa will involve a background check of your bride by Uzbek authorities. Needless to say, the US immigration process would proceed regardless of the exit visa process required by the Uzbek government, except for the fact the Uzbeks won't let her get on a plane without it.

I'll just add that not only Uzbek, but also Russian immigration officials won't let her travel abroad without OVIR visa. If you fly from Moscow, they'll still check your OVIR visa.

Hello,
The women you love will not get a visitor visa from the us embassy. Us embassy will not issue vistor visa to women for a visit thinking they just want to come and stay here. There are all sorts of issues. They simply do not do this. Easiest way is to go to Uzbekistan, marry her and apply for a visa to bring her back around 4 months laterRead up on all you need to bring with you. Tax returns,Letter from your job, Banking account statements ,Your birth crtificate etc etc etc.

Hello Proserpina:

Thanks again for your kindly answer You again astound me with your knowledge , i even think you are a lawyer !!! one thing that i wonder wether once she get the american bride visa aproved then next step she should proceed with the OVIR visa ? or shall make her get the OVIR visa done first before i proceed with the American bride visa application ? i also want to know how long months or years does the OVIR exit visa last ? i mean the duration of the OVIR visa once she get this exit visa from the UZBEKISTAN government , I again appreciate your answers
